i go by if it makes me smile.
that is not a great barometer.... maybe it is...).

I haven't seen any of them since I left except family...and they still find ways to rationalize talking to me. Once in a while there will be a JW at my Mom's house when I come to visit her and they have a huge pregnant pause as to how to handle the situation. No one has shunned me...they usually say a polite hello and then "beat feet"! LOL

Does the Watchtower place itself above Jesus?
by sacolton in"the world is full of bibles, which book contains the commandments of god.
why, then, do the people not know which way to go?
because they do not also have the teaching or law of the mother, which is light.

Nicely written...
I always laugh when I think back about what my non-JW wife said when she went to a Memorial with me (the first and last time!)
"I have been to tax seminars that were more joyous and interesting!"

Fasting is actually a part of Islam (Ramadan month) and not of JW's beliefs...that question makes me wonder if you actually are a JW...or even studied with them.

The most inappropriate remarks from Jehovahs Witnesses
by jambon1 ini have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!
