I have asked that once, she said she loved Jehovah and still believed that though corrupted like Isreal it is the only place she will go because she believes the docrtrines, I guess they are waiting for reform or something. He doesn't say much but goes occasionly, not regular in witnessing I think he's been inactive for long time, as I have slowly come out of the fog, our conversations have been more open, what I have got from some things they have said is they are carful what they say about the borg, as I have been a little wary with them, but its starting to look interesting and we may be able to meet on more common ground than we ever thought.

There have been at times some underhanded buisness dealings within the congregations and also some being taken advantage of for money, thefts and other rotten dealings.
These should be reported to the police, but the WTS doesn't like anyone calling the police or taking a brother to court, I think it only fair that if proven beyond a doubt by others as to being riped of, after it has been delt and reported to police, they should be booted out, they would probably want to be.
A very close relative of mine and his wife were disfellowshiped on very dodgy material, he has always denied he had nothing to do with the crime, the elders barged into his home and harrassed accused belittled, scared the hell out of his kids, he threw the elders out and he was disfellowshiped they say for his attitude and standing by his wife which they believed was behind the crime. In the meantime he had a break down ended up in hospital for nearly six months, nearly lost his life, his kids never went back to a meeting, he wrote a letter to put his truth across that was ignored.
As it turned out the person that did what his wife and him was accused of was caught and taken to court the truth came out and both he and his wife were found to be innocent of any crime. Not one word of sorry by the elders nothing read at the meetings to vincicate his innocence, they never went to a meeting for nearly a year, took another year before they were reienstated, they are very shaky in the troof now, but his son wants nothing to do with the witnessess he says they are hypocrites and cowards. The wife fronted the elder that she says was on a witch hunt against her and hubby, he said he regretted all that happened, she said, I feel sorry for you, because you haven't begun to pay for what you did especially to my husband, he could have died.

Just go down to the city park or near a popular city landmark, have a soap box jump on it, and say "Religion is the Opium of the People" that may stir something up, if it does you can then watch The Life of Brian some wonderful magic hints in that.

Disgusting comment re: holy spirit from the Tacoma 2007 District Convention

my sister called me this morning, she had the convention in tacoma last weekend.
she said she tried not to listen as much as possible, but the comment that got her steamed was this:.

I can recall that when it was said that an anointed became apostate or committed a sin whatever, someone would have to replace them, but not until the full 144,000 would be completed the end would come. But when I first studied it was said that those of the remnant would have to be alive at the time of Russell or before 1930's, some on the GB are young in comparison to that, Lett is only 56 so he was born around 1950. Figure....
Also what would bug me was the remnant would be very diligent in the preaching work and would have had to suffer like a mytre death or be so persecuted to be worthy, they would have had to survive such terrible tradgeties to have the empathy to judge, us and the resurrected. I have met two so called remnants, one only said she was after her husband died, she said she did suffer persecution in Canada, but was not out in the field near as much as others, besides she was cold as ice, reminded me of a matron in some nunnery, sorry but true. Wha has Lett been through, I find the whole 144,000 dicy always have.

That Evil Disco??

it also spelled the end of those rollerskating parties that the congregations used to organize.
now, i can see their reasoning behind the rock (backmasking satanic messages) and funk (dirty), even though it is very specious.. however, the "evil disco" strikes me as weird.

Why do KH's not have any windows?
by jibberish inwhat is the real reason why kingdum halls don't have windows?
to people on the outside looking in that is just too wierd and very cult like like they have something to hide.
wasn't in the 80's when they started to build them without windows?

When I was in NY city in 94 some KH had no windows, I asked and was told because the windows would get smashed all the time, have to replace them, besides being safer. Here in Oz all KH have windows and heaps of them.
