No school for you: confirmation of CO outline on education

i just spoke with my dad after he returned from an elders meeting.

the co did say that elders would have to step down from their positions if they supported their child getting an education.

the reasoning behind this is that an elder is encouraging their children to attend college, they would not be able to counsel the rank and file on the issue.

Do you get upset when people don't believe that same way you do?

is it a normal reaction to get mad when you talk to someone who doesn't believe that way you do?.

I am an atheist and have never had any one jump on me that I can remember.

There is no evidence that god exists, if you want to have faith knock yourself out. Faith by deff. is belief in something without evidence. Remember how the dubbers put it [expectations of things hoped for] I can hope that little green men will come to earth and take me for a joy ride in their tricked out saucer, That makes it faith based.

If anyone wants to buy into this fairy and unicorn type of belief system it is theirs to believe.

No one should get upset becasue anyone does not see things throught the same glasses they do. The problem comes in that most christians including Jehovahs witnesses is that they go around trying to change what you think and what you can do. Or in other words try to push you into doing and believing what they do.

Christians try to have laws inacted to make you not have an abortion, gamble, drink, even who you can get married to.

This is where I get ticked off, I dont care if people want to go to a church and believe in the spegetti monster. But dont change laws or as the witnesses do shame you and not talk to you to make you change what you do.

Brother going baptist

i have a brother that was a witness for twenty years, all four of us left the witnesses and for the most part are agnostic or atheist.. my brother that is going baptist is going because of a woman, he has always had a problem with not having a personality of his own, he has a very bad temper and never knows when to shut his mouth, he thinks nothing of telling people the most hurtful things and does not see that he has stomped all over someone's feelings.. he is 33 and met a woman in nursing school in wichita.

they started to date and are now planning on a wedding after only one month.

another of his flaws, he is very impulsive and a sucker for anything that makes his ego feel good.

He has had employment problems, he has always bucked the people over him and it has caused him trouble.

He now has a nursing cert. and he is in a profession that is in a lot of need, And he loves his feeling of "I save lives" which he even posted on myspace. His new 1 month old love is a staunch baptist, and she has told him that she will not change. My feeling is that she wants him to change.

Every one of his sister in laws hate him, he almost was thrown out of the condo of our brother we were visiting. He sent voice message where my wife had her voice that said leave a message, becasue we did not answer he left a message "I dont want to leave a message bitch" then he will act like nothing is wrong.

My personal thinking is he is bipolar. one min he is licking your boots the next he is spitting nails at you.

I would bet tomorrows milk money that when the Mr. Rogers sweater comes off he is not going to find it such a wonderful relationship.

Another of his flaws, he is very impulsive and a sucker for anything that makes his ego feel good. He would rather buy a BMW than a Toyota because of how he thinks he is perceived by the purchase. This woman is a Baptist and has just gotten divorced from a man in Iraq in the army. She has two son's and the former husband is not to happy about the situation and is accusing her of having an affair with Scott before the divorce.

Scott is the type that is a bull in a china shop, he is acting like he is stepping into the "father" shoes, He keeps saying that he will stomp this little a$$hole in the ground, Scott has no aptitude to fighting anything not to mention a man who has had training in killing.

Scott has one other problem, he is what we call a camillion, he takes on the personality of anyone he is around, He also can only have one friend at a time, when ever there are two people around he will attack one and draw close to the other, he has never been able to get along among several friends at a time, he needs to be the center of attention I guess.

So because this woman is a die hard Baptist my once atheist brother is not a bible carrying thumper, He thinks because he has a couple of years in collage he is smarter than the avg. bear, and thinks he can think circles around me, I see though that he is trying to lead into his new way of thinking by telling me that he now believes in a supreme being. I can see that he is just following this person in his life with out question, she is a staunch Christian and he will follow with out questioning. While visiting our other brother in Myrtle Beach my brother said fuc% a few times and Scott jumped at him saying if you say that kind of talk in front of Donna I will kick you a$$ back to south Carolina. I thought for a min. that ww3 was here. My other brother let it die as he has not seen Scott for a year.

Is it me or does any one else see problems innumerable on the horizon?

was anyone ever told they would have been stoned to death by an elder?

i was when i had an affair , but this elders pioneer daughter told me she understood why i had done it , i was feeling dreadfull and so guilt ridden but he said i should through myself at my hubs feet and beg forgiveness from him and had i lived 2000 years ago i would have been stoned to death !

the strange thing is a few years later this elder told me he had feelings for me , but he was married and old enough to be my dad , although i liked him as a person by then and had forgotten what he had said to me about being stoned to death, i was a bit annoyed that he told me not to tell anyone ,and yet was telling other people to tattle tale on others , i know he felt really bad about his feelings though and i did feel sorry for him , but asked him not to visit anymore as it made me feel guilty towards his wife , maybe it was gods way of getting him to see things from a wrong doers point of view ,as he had a reputation for being very harsh on wrong doers (like myself) maybe he makes a better elder nowadays after that insight , or maybe they think i was sent by satan to seduce a pioneer and an elder !

I can still remember a CO giving a talk in the early 90s from Holt MI. He had a bag on stage with him, he was talking about DFed relitives and how they should be viewed by the mind numb.

As he said if this world was run by god [then he stuck his hand in the bag] This is how you would have to talk to these people! and he pulled out a human [prob. fake] skull and thrust it into the air.

He said these people would have been put to death and you would have to talk to a tomb stone if you wanted to vist with them.

Most Dubbers I know think every one but them self need to follow the rules.

First witness visit

i had a couple of dubbers visit since my move to hot springs.

one was an older man who was very nice and did not want to talk, he just wanted to ask how much for property in my area and how much it cost to build my house.

The other was a YDRTC young gungho who thinks he knows a lot more then he does. I kept telling him stats and he said that he was a 2 year college grad and could speak spanish, Soooooo what. I did not even take the time to tell them about the 607 thing, he was not worth the effort. You know the type they like the hear themself talk and do not hear anything but the pitch of their own voice. I just told them that if they wanted to know anything about their own religion they should go to randy waters site, he was at bethel for 30 years and saw more then they ever would, or they should read the book by ray franze who was a GB member for 8 years and knew things that 99% of the current dubber population did not know. I said that they would go to doors and ask people to question their religion, but the second that they become a dubber that questioning has to stop.who knows maybe a question will have them look at the this or some other site and start the brain working again, I doubt it hightly but who knows.

I lost my mother who was a dubber, but only in show, we had talked about it was not gods org. she said as soon as here dad died she was out. But she died before he did.

I remember that an elder came to talk to the family about what was her fav. scripture blablablablablabla.

I had not been to a KH in some time and went out of respect for my mother. I have not steped in to one since. I can tell you I totaly agree with the way Lee Iacocca put it, "I dont care how old you are, when you lose your mother you feel like an orpahn."

The talk was scripted like all dubber things, and it was about converting people who were there that were not cult members. The cult never to miss an opertunity to try to convert even if it is no the back of the dead. I hate them for the damage that they cause to so many people, I use herman melvilles "from the bowels of hell I stab at thee" to explain how I feel about these bastards.

I treat them like they treat us, if you are in the cult I will treat you like scum, when you leave and get your head on right, I will treat you with all the respect I can, untill then you are scum to me if you are a dubber. They did not do one thing to confort me, to help my brothers get through this hard time.

My mother was a writer and some of her books can still be bought on amazon, from the ashes, the color of love, ties that bind. and she had a web site that was up for a couple of years after she died, Some one put on here fav. music, from the movie gone with the wind, I can barly hear it today several years later with out choking up.

I have so much sympathy for people who have lost a loved one and are dubbers, I envey people that have lost someone and were in a support group of a church or some other org that really knows the meaning of love and carring for others.

The society loves them selfs and all others are expendable.

This site and others have helped me in my journey and I thank them, and encourage others in their stage of getting their life back to join this and other sites that help in the damage cults do to people.

I can never get back the time familys spend with family during holidays, and quality time with each other. But I can help others in damage control.

I am getting to the point in my life where I just dont care about what they say. Do not take this as a slam against the poster or any post. I am just to a point where it just does not matter any more. I hope all of use in our travels can get there and farther. I do have a lot of anger against the people.

I was getting water from a spring well at the local area I live in where many people get the quality water to drink. There were two older witnesses handing out towers. I was mad and have gotten to the point that I do not need to waste my time telling them what I think, I did spit at their feet and kept walking. As I said, I am not past the anger point.

I have learned that you will never change their mind, they will take it as an attack by satan, they are a heads I win tails you lose kind of people.

i stopped going to kh when i was in my early 20's.

i'm now in my mid 40's.

i've done many of the things for which a person should be df'd over the many years since but i don't know whether i am df'd.

As far as it used to be you could not be DFed unless you were notified that there was a judicial com. you needed to attend. If no one ever contacted you I doubt you were DFed. Some over zelous elder could say you did not show up and df you with you not not knowing about it but very doubtfull.
