The question was what will be the sign of the second coming, Jesus said this generation shall not pass away before all these things occur. If he meant that fucking stupid deffinition given by the cult it would be absolutly meaningless.

by VM44 inthe watchtower has forced a rather strange interpretation of the word "generation" in order to keep their doctrinal beliefs concerning the year 1914 consistent with the words of jesus "this generation will not pass...".
however, the watchtower's "overlapping" definition of the word generation is strange and unnatural to common use.
according to the watchtower, a grandfather, son, and grandson all living at the same time would make up a single generation.

They use mental mind control scare tacticts to scare people into not questioning, they use the idea that they alone have truth and if you look anywhere else you will be sucked in by evil. Had an argument with my wife about tinkerbell :(
by BU2B inone of my co workers mother made my 4 year old a blanket with the disney character tinkerbell on it.
as soon as i got it i knew trouble lay ahead.
i wanted to reason with her before my daughter saw it so as not to cause a disruption, but it didn't work out that way.

Meeting with him is folly. Refuse to tell your opinion on religion and do not discuss anything but the temp out. They are not that smart and will try to use very basic tricks to get you to say that you do not beleive the org is gods chosen mouth piece on earth bla bla bla. Its best to stand him up if you are ever asked again and do not slip up at this meeting. I have even heard a few times where COs and elders will make up that a person said they wanted to be DFed. You can not win by playing with them, you win by walking away and not playing at all.

Reminds me of the 80s when the story was being circulated by the JWs about a Stazi Agent who moled into the JWs in East Germany. He worked up to elder and just as he was about to turn in his work and disclose his findings, he was struck by lightning. The elders ran to his home as it was a communist nation where the state collects all the belongings of an individual on death and found this out. The idea to draw was Jehovah killed this guy to save the congregation. LMFAO what a load of bull shit. Do any of you get scared when there's a major storm/occurence?
by mellojello ini never used to care for storms or anything like that but ever since i learned about jwism, i would get scared everytime there's a big storm.....does this happen to any of you?

When I was a kid, but you have to grow up and understand there are no such things as ghosts, boogie men or end times, unless its man made. The dark is nothing but lack of light and the end is not coming in some god end of world storm. I am afraid of what humans can do, that is enough to be afraid of.

My sister is getting df'd.....
by Blttex injust found out that my little sister is getting df'd next week.
her husband left her about a year ago got df'd and recently got a girl pregnant.
my sister has had a hard time with the whole situation as you can imagine.
