  Pioneer Meeting

  i apologize in advance if this has already been discussed here.. at my daughter's pioneer meeting they were told that leaving literature in phone booths and laundromats is "littering".. since when?

  anybody else heard this?.

  How many are read? I'd say something on the order of 2.5 million. Period.

  why are jw women so loyal to the borg?.

  during the last 12 year i have been doing a lot of research about mainly the chronology of jw about the year 1914. my family are still in and very active and i serve still as elder.

  my research has make me dropped the whole chronology about the year 1914 and also the authorities of dfs/gb.

  Religion is an emotional, not an intellectual matter in my experience. If you can find a way to appeal to your wife's emotions with your intellectual information I think you'll see better success.

  now i enjoy a good debate but i think this is something that you who claim to believe or follow the teachings of the wts should keep in mind.

  now i will only be using scriptures so you need not worry!.

  oh one more thing, i remembered wife saying, said speaker at yesterdays meeting mentioned that "thousands and thousands, of jdubs were killed ny the nazis.

  can you believe it, wish he had of checked with the watchtower observer and really seen just how many thousands of thousands equated to.

  i guess you don't have to tell the truth there you just have to keep repeating liesk, because if you tell a lie long enough it eventually will sound like the truth.

  Request for Opinions

  i requested that my sons (both jws) come to my home for a family meeting today.

  had nothing to do with religion.

  both of them know i don't go to meetings and that i have intellectual disagreement with wtbs.. son #2 said that before we begin the meeting, he would like to offer up prayer.

  I'm with everyone else. But would like to point out that a son, or anyone else, that comes into your home and arrogates to himself the right to suggest prayer or anything else is utterly out of line.

  I think he'd have been just as out of line to say, "now before we get started, Dad why don't you get a beer for everyone."

  i just happened on this place a few days ago, and thought i would stop in to see what it was all about.

  it claims to be a jehovah's witness forum, which it is not.. dont want to come here and point fingers, as i am sure there are some good people in here, just seems the bad have followed the good.

  i guess in reality thats always the case, but hey, what else would these people do if they couldn't wage their little war on the truth.

  Where is Reinhard Lengtat?

  sorry for the posting error below.. my wife is reading crisis of conscience now.

  this is good news because i know i will have someone to talk to when im caught and dfd.

  but in her reading she is recognizing most of the names ( we were there at bethel during the 70s as a married couple) and asked what happened to reinhard lengtat?

  A few question that are leading to some confusion

  i am in the process of becoming a jehovah witnesses, but there were a few areas i was still unsure about and i was hopin i could get some answers:.

  ) what is the exact view of jesus?.

  ) how is the view of the whole trinity with god, holy ghost, son seen?.

  There are lots of practices that JWs shouldn't engage in, but they do, even though they have pagan origins:

  Wedding rings have already been mentioned.

  Wedding parties (bridesmades, grooms, etc.) are present in such profusion to hide the identity of the bride from the evil spirits.

  Same with the bride's veil.

  Tombstones originated from piling rocks on the dead to keep the person's spirit from haunting the person's village.

  Days of the week, months of the year are named for various Greek and Roman gods or rulers.

  And the list of such things goes on and on. But the JWs quietyly ignore all this. There's a limit to how pure you wanna be, y'know.
