SS - Both Bach and Mozart were mouldering in their graves long before Beethoven wrote his first note, or Saint-Saens, or Brahms, or Rachmaninoff or a host of others. Suggest sir you brush up on your classical music history before you deliver yourself of such inanities. And remember too that "classical" is further divided into its own periods. This music is immortal and will still thrill the heart long after Mick Jagger is forgotten forever.

Damn, I HATE Cleaning....
by teenyuck injust got done cleaning the house.
i hate cleaning.
i just hate it.
-
Francois
I hate it too, that's why I don't do it. When my home gets dirty, I
1. Get married to a clean freak
2. Burn the house down
3. Sell it and buy a clean one.

We made it to Florida!!!
by StinkyPantz inwell we made it to florida, but the journey was not exactly what i would call a fun one.. .
as many of you know, my fairly new suv was totaled (by no fault of my own) one month before we were supposed to be making our big move.
well, we were forced to buy a car with limited income until the insurance company paid up.

A Gift For The Board's "Debaters"
by Francois inand here you all are, a link to two of the best articles on actual debating i've found on the internet so far.
we have lots of arguments here and call them "debates".
frankly, these exchances do not rise to the level of actual debate but rather consist of the expression of certain fixed opinions, usually unchallenged, that say between the lines "so's yo momma.".

HEY PRISCA!!! Come right on over, hun. I can book you in at least 30 states, including of course Hawaii. That is, if I can ever get you out of Nevada. Now, as to split. I think, say, 60/40 ought to do it. And we'll split travel and meals 50/50. In five years, we'll both have enough to retire. Whatchasay?

1975..Let's Keep It Alive!
by Englishman in1975. the end of 6000 years of man's existence, and logically, therefore, the start of the 1000 year reign, which meant that armageddon had to be done and dusted before that.. i remember it well!
the hype at assemblies, my dad giving up his job and selling his home to move where the "need was great", now minimised by mother with her "oh so you're another seventy-fiver are you" comments.. now it's just something that occasionally embarrasses jw's, some of them deny it ever happened, others think that it was all too long ago to be relevent.. maybe we need to put 1975 into a slot where we can all relate to it.
maybe those of us who remember that year could chip in as well.. so, what did happen in 1975?
