i'm a skeptic by nature, although not necessarily a very logical one.
i believe in love but i am not sure of the idea of one true love or soulmates.

Mrs. Thunder - I found her in 1986, 9 years after the explosion. She was married, and had been for 3 years. I didn't want to attempt to intrude in her life at that point. I've made sure that I'm easy to find since then but I've never heard a peep so I expect she's still married and happy. I'll just have to be happy that she's happy.

hey bro, i just thought it may interest you to know that they read a letter last night describing how they need to build a new printing facility up at patterson that will be the size of two assembly halls.
they will be getting all new printing machines to be shipped from all over the world, and they will need many volunteers for the project to be completed by january 2004. and we should all realize that this is going to be at a tremendous cost, the buildings alone should cost about 60,000,000 dollars.

i know this is a belief from the jws, but i don't know on what it is founded, or if it is.
I personally do not believe in demonic attack. I think that The Master imprisoned Satan and all the fallen angels when he was on earth. Frankly, since one of the roles that the WTBTS plays in the lives of its followers is in loco parentis, I strongly feel that all the JW demon hocus pocus serves no other purpose than as the "boogey man" they used to scare their boneheaded "children." JWs are, after all, only a religious cult based on control and fear.
Even if there were demons lurking about, what meaning would the synthetic name "Jehovah" have to them? Zip.
Finally, Jehovah, being nothing more than the concept of God held by an illiterate, savage Bronze Age Levantine semitic tribe, I don't think that demons regarded the Jehovah concept as being anything to fear even when they were free to roam about and cause people to do strange things.
The whole issue is one big nyuck, nyuck, nyuck to me.

i didnt even watch a tv show that talked bad about the jw"s for fear it was an apostate program.. i know if you are caught soj, posting here,,,,,,you would not have been reinstated( you were right?

The second problem is that you have used your illicit independant thinking to justify and rationalize your being here among the apostates, the DFed, the DAed; you know, the scum of JW society, the outcasts.
So far, then, you've engaged in one forbidden activity to justify your participation in a second forbidden activity which is tantamount to yet a third, and that is you are running ahead of Jehovah's visible organization, the FDS. The slave, you will have noticed, has no outreach program which attempts to regain, reclaim, rehabilitate DFed ones or anyone else. What gives you the right to engage in, so far, these three strikes against you and what you're doing?
If you really feel you're doing something that is approved by your Jehovah, then tell us to what congregation you belong, in what city, and provide along with that the telephone number of two or three of your congregation elders.
You really are wasting your time and ours you know. There are quite a few regulars here who, on an intellectual basis, discussing JW matters or any else for that matter, could eat your lunch before you had the slightest idea what was going on.
I can only arrive at the conclusion that you are severely deluded. You're not exactly welcome here. And if your elders knew what you are up to, you wouldn't be welcome there either. So you are walking a dangerous tight rope, aren't you? The slightest screw up and you're going to be dog food.

today, i had it open, and there was no way to pretend i wasn't home when the two 'brothers' rang my door bell.
actually, they had been by last saturday, too, but the door was closed that day, and i didn't answer it.

You make a good point. Perhaps those people smelled the rot of "false" Christianity and rejected it, and rightly so. And by extension, we should expect them then to flock to the JDubs like mosquitos, huh? Perhaps that's precisely why the JDubds don't want to go there, and why that absurd logic was foisted off. If the JDubs go there and fail, then it could logically be said that the people in those places - given their acute spiritual sensitivity - have weighed the JWs in the balance and found them wanting along with all the rest of false Christianity.
I can't believe those two bozos tried that kind of logic. This is what comes of receiving your college diploma from Awake! University.

YOU GUYS! Can't a person even recommend a book for you? Jeez, I let all my "secrets" out and you all have read everyone of 'em. Yes, I read Bryce Courtnay's Potato Factory to good effect. Might have to read it again.
And the first book by Wilbur Smith I ever read was River God. After that it was Katy Bar the Door until I read everything the man ever wrote. I would love to make a movie out of River God and one from the Seventh Scroll as well. It would be epic. I would love every minute of it. River God is easily the best book of historical fiction set in Egypt I've ever read. And the Seventh Scroll as follow up is damn near perfect.
OK, I'm off to half.com. Does anyone else here buy their stuff from there?
