An Update....
by R.F. inhello all, just wanted to fill you in on the situation with my mother.. she's doing good now after having the emergency surgery last week.
we're hoping that she can come home in a couple days.
her blood counts are still low but they have risen since the surgery.

there is fear of discussing it openly, and even if you are wanting to try to argue against apostate ideas there is simply no outlet for such open discussions.
you are left guessing what other witnesses know, and how much apostate information they have been exposed too.

What a horrible situaton that is, especially when it concerns people you care about who are thoughtful and intelligent - but you simply can't discuss this with them.
I can identify with you re the above.
I've started sharing experiences from on here with my JW family. It helps me keep a connection going between the two worlds. They don't seem to object to that as much as they did to me discussing 'spiritual' info.

who am i, well i'm the middle child of my parents, who are ex jw's, so i'm not sure if that makes me one since they stopped attending jw occasions when i was 11, but having experienced being part of it, and having not enjoyed it i can say i class myself as an ex-jw.

he is no longer a witness and while i'm not sure what the catalyst was they started talking about why he left the witnesses.

R.F'S MUM JUST HAD EMERGENCY SURGERY

he told me his mum was rushed to hospital early yesterday morning in a great deal of pain.
she subsequently had emergency surgery and is now in intensive care.

And also there seems to be a lot of judgement with regards to people who are 'claiming' to be disabled and therefore getting money for that. Just because you have experienced one person claiming to be disabled who can 'function' perfectly well with regards to their living and such like, doesn't mean that everyone who is disabled is like that,
No one here is saying that everyone who is disabled is like that.
and disabled refers not only to physical disabilities but also to mental disabilities if you didn't know.
we know that. The 2 people I mentioned both claim they have physical disabilities that prevent them walking 60 metres.
