  the wt society doesn't seem to answer questions like other organizations do.

  issues such as the policy on pedophiles, un involvement, lawsuits for shunning, and the like are never mentioned in the publications.

  yes, they do talk about pedophiles in the wt, but never jw pedophiles and the society's policy on them.

  Ex-Circuit Overseers Write Books about Jehovah's Witnesses

  some of our new members may find these online books of interest.

  two former circuit overseers (both of whom "served" in the uk) have published books about jehovah's witnesses.. the first was a circuit overseer in the early 1960s by the name of william stevenson.

  he published his book shortly after the watchtower society started promoting 1975 as the date for the end of 6,000 years of mankind's existence.

  Thanks for sharing , each of us former JW's have so much common experience and feelings but at

  the same time each of us is unique and therefore every book gives an added feature or

  understanding to complete ones psychological advancement & understanding!!!!

  i would like to give a warm welcome to cessa, and any other ex-bethelite who has recently been.

  thrown out of the only home they have known for years.. i just can't imagine how hurtful it would be.. i do hope you can get some form of community from the board.. our hearts go out to you.. .

  Do you wish SUFFERING on some human beings? Should you?

  with the recent illness of a gb member who has hurt many people, some have commented that they would like to have him suffer, various ways have been mentioned including having his mind fine, but his body suffering.. we all here have a hatred for child molesters, abusers, those who make others suffer.. and there are many examples in history as well.

  hitler, josef mengele, john wayne gacy, and many others.. is it right to want them to suffer for what they have done?

  should they be made to undergo the exact same suffering they inflicted on others?.

  I am so touched by Lady Lee's response to the point of tears . We must try to remember that even in

  suffering there is deep stirring of the soul to define our own spirit & intent toward other human souls !

  my husband lost his father

  my husband lost his father last saturday.

  the funeral was tuesday in a catholic church and he would not go to the service.

  he stayed outside while his children were inside.

  It is so sad but try to remember the twisted complicated mess he is in due to supposed

  greater loyalties . But feel for you also in your loss and in your frustration & hurt !

  I must say what a beautiful completion to this thread.. in the end each can have his say yet look to the future with

  "I guess I am struggling to figure out what you are driving at?

  I believe we all follow a basic

  code of conduct..... the debate goes endlessly on as to it's source ! Then the above

  added twist of ethics versus morals further clouds the issue into complex debate .

  When are you responsible , when are you excused ?
