deacon that is a good point, however, most dubs won't use the brain power necessary to coorelate those with jones and those with the society. When asked a question that points out that the WTBTS may in fact be wrong on a point their minds seem to turn off. I have used WTBTS literature to prove a point to people and they have questioned the ligitimacy of the info I have used and when shown to be from the WTBTS they start with well they are imperfect men. They just can't seem to put two and two together.

it actually states that "shunning" is used as a method of psychological torture.. psychological torture is less well known than physical torture and tends to be subtle and much easier to conceal.

I remember an individual i had met once, who at 90 looked possibly 60 and was a smoker of cigars 3 a day and a pint of vodka or whiskey in addition to the cigars. He said that he had been doing it since he was 40. And believe me he didn't even look 60. He loved a good cigar, and his pint of vodka or whiskey everyday and had been doing it since he was 40. He owned 5 liquor stores, managed to control all of them and was an avid hunter, fisherman, who loved the out of doors. He said he got the habit of smoking cigars and drinking Vodka and Whiskey from his mother who lived to the ripe old age of 104 and then died in an accident not natural causes. He claimed it was the cigars and whiskey which calmed his nerves and helped him cope with life that were responsible for his good health. He was an Army veteran wwII and Korea and he was a lot of fun and interesting to talk too. I spent 4 hours talking with him and having lunch with him one day. What a nice man. he wasn't bragging was humble and a Christian (lutheran missouri synod) and loved God and his son Jesus. Yet if he were an Witness he would have been disfellowshipped for smoking. How many good people did they lose. I lknow smoking is bad for you but so is a lot of things and we aren't going to get out of this life alive. We are all going to die. Why not enjoy some of it with a good cigar???? A good shot of good whiskey or vodka never hurt anyone either if taking moderately. The WTBTS only wants you to hawk their magazines donate for them, ask for donationsl for them, and then try and make you feel guilty for not doing more. I mean thats what a DO or CO is for isn't it to motivate you to do more, make more $$$ for the Society?

Their book study in nonsense, they have absolutely no programs designed to help their children (call on doors isn't a help) they have nothing to recommend them except hawking the Publishing Companies (WTBTS) magazines. They want you to contribute to the WWW with $$$$ and then they want you to ask for donations of guess what $$$$? And then they want you to give this $$$ to them. Getting paid twice and these fools don't see it. They deserve whatever happens to them.

R.F. you are right most people (non-witnesses) have no idea what the witnesses are about. My experience when working with people who aren't (thank god) witnesses, is that they had very little if any informatin about them. One particular lady (26 years old) living in the same house where she had spent her entire life (now helping elderly parents her and her husband), had never even seen a jdub at her door, no never, had no idea whatsoever about our beliefs, doctrine, or anything else about us. when talking at lunch with others in the workforce there, almost no one, had ever even met a jdub. So this quickly took my mind to the conclusion that Jdubs are a legend in their own minds., self important thoughts generated by their unique belief in their own importance with no substance to show for it.

"i've also had changes revealed to me before the fds makes the change, it just goes to show that jehovah reveals it to his people and that the witnesses have the truth.".

The call of revilee for me was when I realized that other people and religions couldn't always be wrong and the Witnesses always right, the odds just don't cover it. When voicing concerns was always told to wait on Jehover, and when I asked why when I believe something to be not right I have to wait on God. Just how was "God" goling to get back to me. Not in the Watchtower because that was putting out what I thought to be wrong. So then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started to really do some research on my own. I started looking jehovah witness sites on the web and initially had to agree with the society some of the people there were obviously trying to raise doubts while lying through their teeth. (for instance; one poster on a web site mentioned having to deal with the elders, being a pioneer and not liking having to step down from being a ministerial servant for a minor discrepancy, then "she" said she was pissed at the society). Well right off I knew that females were never appointed as MS's so it seemed at first that the Society was right about the internet, howeveer, further investigation began to show me (light getting brighter here) than the society was in fact wrong and had at times (when their mouth moved) lied about events. Hello bugle calling!!!!!1 time go get up make up the rack and get moving out of the way of danger. (meaning snoozing at the meeting and not giving a damn about who seen you).

this morning at 6:55 (i know because i looked at my watch) a little black girl maybe 7 years old came up to me by herself to offer me a tract... i mean come on it's still full freaking dark out and this poor little kid is handing out tracts alone.
i asked her "where are your parents.

People like Rosalee and Proplog2 are why I hate jdubs they will not admit a wrong no matter what. i wouldn't have batted an eye seeing this little girl, I would have dialed 911 on the cell and let them know that a child is at the store no immediate parental control and that due to the fact that many young children have been abducted from places such as this "Walmart" (or any store for that matter) that IMO that child is in possible danger. I believe that the police would have come. calling child protective services if they were even open at that time of morning, would probalby have proved fruitless. Jdubs have no qualms about physically whipping their children over minor violations of parental restrictions, so I believe the same judgment, Matt 7: should be applied. Call the cops and let them sort it out the protection of the children is vital, the wtbts is not nor has it even been overly concerned with the protection of children. IMO of course.
