If it was in fact a "big foot," the authorities wouldn't believe it. I mean look at the witlessness you show them out of their own books just how far they have missed the mark in all the prophecy predictions, 1918, 1919, 1925, 1941, 1975 etc., and they still don't get it, I believe its just like the big foot thing if their is truly one it won't be believed.

1919 Appointment? Need Clarification
by yknot inokay after having a discussion with a school mate about the witnesses, she challenged me to come up with "proof" of 1919. i have never really given thought to the 1919 thing, so i agree to the task.. cd, in computer, i start searching.
all i can find basically is self-applied scriptures.
next i call on a older sister who has wts dating back to 1910. i start pouring over the mags, and the books by rutherford, all the way until i reach 1930s.

The facts presented are also invisible just like Jesus' coming was supposedly. You just have to have faith that the invisible facts not presented by the Society are in fact real. Hebrews 11:1 you know. The things unseen except by a Drunks errrr Rutherford's eyes. Then presented to the lemings that followed him, he done this with the help of trusty ghost write Franz.
Their facts are as invisible as their humility you can't and won't be able to see it because they the facts don't exist, and the humility doesn't exist either.

by jambon1 ini can remember about 2 years before i exited the org i had a terrible dilema which didn't really have anything to do with my doubts in relation to doctrine.. the problem was hearing over and over and over about the fact that being in the org was 'the best place to be'.
that the brothers were 'true friends'.
didn't they have a video out called 'ypa - how can i make real friends?'.

In a recent Watchtower study, it was brought out in a comment that "we" the congregation are just one big family and that we should be teaching our children to love the brothers and sisters in the congregation. I told my child when we got home that, that comment was BS., all you have to do is realizee that any love in the congregation is strictly conditional, it's conditioned on whether you are active in service, go to all the meetings,make the "politically (watchtower accepted) comments," and turn your brain off they don't want to hear anything about common sense and just how unloving the organization really is. I also told my child that you have to be constantly on guard against saying anything that will shine a negative spotlight upon you. Your are not free there to make comments that you really feel or even disagree with whats in the mags. So beware, I also told my child that whatever religion you are in their are drawbacks but this org teaches commands of men as commands of God. So buyer beware and wait and follow Jesus' example and be 30 yrs. old before making any serious committments.

One thing for sure neither the Pres nor the Congress care about what the american people think, Its been overwhelming shown via polls that we don't want illegals in this country and yet our Govt. doesn't respond to us. Vote people get the assholes out of power seize power for ourselves. Locally I am on the local governments with caustic comments when needed and praise when thats needed imo of course.
Bush seems to hate the border living americans and love the illegals. Well thankfully in California along the San Diego area borders illegal immigration stopped or at least was severely curtailed due to the fires, hopefully the fires that were on the border went south of the border and will put a stop to their invasion of our country for awhile. Neither Congress or Bush have the balls to just end it, they know most people won't get off their ass and do something about it. Folks you have phones so call your congressman makes yourselves heard.

The idea of national health care imo is a joke. If you need health care then get off your ass and get a job or jobs that will give you the money to pay for it. I don't want to be responsible for paying for anyones health care except my own and my families. I have taken care of that and don't want anypart of a national health care system. In cities near the Mexican border (where you can get health care cheaper than the U.S., many people from Canada (where health care is supposedly free) come down to you city, attend your halls and quite frankly tell you that natinal health care although seemingly free (taxes), is a joke when it needs to be timely. That infact waiting has cost lives of people, waiting for health care in Canada, Great Britian or anywhere else is crazy imo.

those previously listed and these: the ability to sense heat or temperature, the ability to sense pain and awareness of the location of our body parts.

I didn't see this one or at least i missed it. But the primordial sense of danger. When in Vietnam many years ago, i could actually feel it when the VC where around, when walking into a shack i knew whether or not I was the only person therein. When you hearing starts to go bad you start losing some of the primordial sense and it cause you to become nervous and sometimes grouchy because you can't hear well, others feel fear etc., So the primodial sense(s) are definitely there or were for some of us.
Common sense was mentioned and that realistically can't be found at the Kingdumb hall., no one there seems to use any common sense.
No primordial senses either, just uh huh, yes thats right, etc. etc. But then again this could be called the KOOL AID sense couldn't it?

Giving Talks in the Ministry School
by lovelylil inanyone else here hate giving talks and refuse to do it?
the last two years i was in the borg, i was not in the school.
everytime the elder in charge of it approached me to "encourage" me to join again, i would have a melt down, cry and pretend i was so depressed and overwelmed that i just could not do that one thing for "jehovah", and i would act like i may commit suicide if he stresses me out over joining the school again.. i got out of it with 3 elders, in two different congregations.

I am not in the school and won't be, they don't have a school at least not in the concept of a school I am familiar with. I have been an instructor and have been to college so I know what a school is suppose to be and the Kingdumb Misey School isn't it. So when asked I just say no, no way, won't be in the supposed school, and when you really get a school then maybe I will consider it. They looked at me like I was an ET or something and haven't bothered me since.

California Wildfires = The end?
by RollerDave ini just got a call from my jw mom asking if i was watching the news.. i'm like, "no, what's up?".
i'm imagining something must really be up, like we invaded some more countries or mushroom clouds over american cities, or maybe somebody famous did something horrible in public, or something.. she tells me 'half of california is burning.'.
i'm like "yeah, it's been doing that for a while now.".

My wife also told me see honey, thats part of the sign, so I of course said oh show me I must have forgotten just where in Matthew 24 is it??? And of course she told me I am so opposed to their way of thinking. I told her it has always been fire season in that part of California since the dawn of time, why is now so different, because it burns a few more house than it has before or what??? Of course she gets mad at me because I just can't seem to see it. Logic doesn't play any part in this equation with these people.

The same thing happened to me, in fact they sent an asshole to a book study i was suppose to conduct without telling me and then they expected me to read at it, "i told them no I won't and I won't pray so deal with it and left." They just dont know how to treat people but what do you expect from people who just sit there day in and day out and swallow everything they are told without checking anything out.
