SlayerLayer,
You don't know a naked girl when you see one.
an amazing thing happened to me today.. i was in a neighbouring suburb, and wandered into a nondescript second-hand bookshop.
i asked where the religious books were, and the elderly shop-keeper pointed to the single shelf, stacked full with books.. amongst them was a faded red book entitled, "studies in the scriptures series 7 - the finished mystery".. i could not believe my luck.
here was a rare book, sitting innocently amongst books far younger than their companion.. i gingerly opened it up and browsed its contents.
AlanF,
I'm surprised that you stoop so low to answer my question. Now we on the same level.
i have one question to ask my local jw's, be they on the body, or be they higher up in the heirarchy.. it is this... .
watchtower literature tells me over and over again, that as a parent, i have to make my children feel that they can "freely speak" about whatever is troubling them.
the question is, at what age i should make them stop feeling this way, and help them to see the need to shut up, sit down, and quit rocking the boat.
No thoughts on it dude.
last saturday i posted that the elders keep coming by to "encourage" us.
but wouldn't you know it, sunday morning as i am trying to enjoy a nice breakfast with the family, the doorbell rang.
pissed me off, but this time the husband was home so i told him to go talk to them and tell them that being raised in the borg, we know what we should be doing and don't need them to tell us, which he did.
OrangeBlossom,
I wander what ass is going to whip first?
no conclusions, just thoughts.. should we disfellowship all of our friends and family who are jehovah's witnesses in order to protect ourselves and in order to wake them up to see how dangerous a path they are on?.
would like to see a discussion of this.. thanks.
joel
jeolbear,
The path of rightousness is not a dangerous path. Hop on it dude!
"wise and loving marriage counselors - preserving the sanctity of god's marital arrangement.
[note: i made some editorial adjustments, grammatical improvements, and formatting changes from the original post, but it is essentially unchanged.].
we had a couple in our kingdom hall who were engaged to be married.
Are you guys talking about out of body experiences?

AlanF,
Speaking about lonatics; when was the last time you check out your goofball kit?
i missed one day of the 2001 district convention.
i heard from someone seated nearby that, beginning in 2003, the theocratic ministry school will be newly formatted.
does anyone here know what that new format will be?
Cool off!!!!
wt 7-15-01 page 21. are you truly tolerant?.
(balance is needed).
of course, we need to avoid being overly tolerant.
Stephanus,
If you think that Bill Bowen is Clark Kent, then your are wrong! He is not going to do one thing to make things better. And if you think that he is going to turn the WT over, then he is going to have to turn God over too.
alright, i'm fed up with the shit going all one way!.
today i had my periodic phone conversation with the family back in the uk.
as usual, they veered the conversation around to "the truth".. "did you go to the meeting?
Expatbrit,
You got a good point. This rotten world is not going down. IT WENT DOWN !!!!
