  did you all ever notice how "sick" the "friends" seemed to always be with weird diseases and ailments and blood disorders?

  i swear i have never seen so many cases of "chronic fatigue syndrome" and "blood viruses" as i did when i was a jw.

  they were constant shoppers at the local homeopathic stores, stocking their shelves with every herb and rub and remedy...and nothing seemed to help these mysterious ailments.

  last weekend we had dinner with my wife's family.

  they had just "enjoyed" their circuit assembly.. their circuit met in two halves over two weeks (avoids the mad scramble to the dining room that way).

  total baptized for the entire circuit (a city circuit)?

  The Society, Race, and an always white Adam.

  okay, it's an old question but we haven't examined it here yet so let's have your thoughts.. adam was the progenitor of the whole human race, from his genes sprang the negroid, caucasian, mongoloid, indo-european and every other race on the planet.. the hebrew people were not selected as jehovah's chosen nation until abram had found favour with god so presumably all races were equal in his eyes before then [as indeed they always have been].. so then, what basis is there, if any, for deciding what adam and eve's skin colour may have been?.

  could they not indeed have been black?.

  this is a pointless discussion i grant you.

  I think you hit on the nose when the brothers told you how would others would accept the messages better regarding the color of Adam. However, I do see Adam in darker color in the publications too, but that is not important.

  And regarding the cover on the 1984 Watchtower with all the white folks on it, I remember that cover very well. However, it never
  came into my mind of them being all white. Have you read any Firpo Carr books lately? He got some good books.

  people raised in authoritarian religions that have laws and rules that are bigoted or prejudiced towards women and other races and religions are often hypocrits.

  especially is the dirty old man who is part of a church and "stands up against" issues, yet is the worst sort of person.
