  here he informed us of "jehovah's" view of the scientific "annular flood theory" of one isaac newton vail, which the watchtower society had been promoting for decades:.

  annular means that which has the form of a ring, or ring-shaped.

  Song parody: The Adams Family

  i felt like creating another song parody and i was casting around looking for the right song to pick.

  at first i thought of the brady bunch, but nothing seemed to fit just right ("here's a story of a man named chuckie..") or ("here's a story of a lovely culty...").

  i dunno, at every turn i wound up getting to the blood issue or child molestation and it became less funny.. so i stumbled onto the adams family lyrics (which are very simple), and was stunned to see that i didn't have to change a thing!

  i was thinking about this in several areas today.. 1) district conventions and house-to-house work.

  if you were a witness for a long time, you probably remember a time when going to the conventions seemed perfectly "normal" to you: it was absolutely "the thing" to sit in a sports arena all day listening to bible talks and counsel from men in suits.. but at some point, did you ever start to feel like you were participating in a cultural relic, so to speak?.

  as in, "here it is, the 1990's, and the society is still using fundamentally the same old format they've been using all century long.

  how can the witnesses claim jesus returned in 1914 when the bible makes it clear in matt 24 that no one will have to tell us, we will know, just as lightening can be seen streaking across the sky, and all can see it, so will his return be.

  followed by acts which tells us that just as jesus was taken up in glory so he shall return.. any jw's wanna do this one?.

  You are not an idiot. But, these people who go against us are. There will be people living forever on earth. And there will be some living in heaven. If you have our publications, then the scriptures are there to back us up. Read the scriptures and let it speak for itself.

  a 99 wt had an article entitled "does god work in crooked ways", and one of the scriptures discussed in it was exodus 4:11.. nwt.

  at that jehovah said to him: "who appointed a mouth for man or who appoints the speechless or the deaf or the clear-sighted or the blind?

  then the lord said to him, "who has made man's mouth?

  i was wondering how revelation 19:1 is explained .

  "after this i heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven ....... how do jw's explain this since they teach the great crowd is going to be on the earth.
