i started doing yoga regularly about 2 months ago.

i have yet to float or have an out of body experience.

but i do feel more "centered" and have greater flexibility.. anyway, yoga is not allowed as a jw.

show aired thursday 12/11.. they were talking about losing your virginity and who you told when it happened.

sheri mentioned that she wrote it in her diary and sister found it, tore out the page and took it to their mom and her pleading with her mom not to tell the elders.

she talks about sitting in front of the 3 elders with her dad and being asked very probing questions like if she had oral sex.

JWs say its impossible for "worldly people" to be happy

i've had 3 different jws tell me this over the past few weeks.

basically their thinking is non-jws are not happy and when they appear to be its not real, its not a true happiness.

according to them, non-jws use drugs, alcohol and wild sex to make themselves happy.

a couple of jw friends attempted to encourage me and invited me to travel with them to the dc.

overall i had a good time and enjoyed their company.

however, i went to all 3 days of the dc and nothing happened.

Four years late. Just watched Passions of the Christ. I have a question

as you know this movie was banned for jws.

any faithful witness would not watched a non-jw bible movie (even though they do it all the time but that's a different subject.

) i watched it this pass week over a couple of days.

Watched TV evangelists for the first time today

i was flipping through the channels while doing cardio and i decided to hear what a couple of these people had to say.

while i've determined that i'm agnostic, this one guy was pretty good...he was practical and funny.

he made the bible seem more like a good self-help book than a "book laws to be obeyed or else you'll die".

if god exists, what is he so busy doing that he can't help the folks in nvr's thread and the millions of folks in a similar or worst situation?.

dedicating my 100th post to trev, oompa and blondie and all the other courageous and inspirational souls here at jwd!!!

without your stories, your humor, your words of wisdom and your courage to share, i don't know where i would be right now but i know it wouldn't be pretty.

you taught me that its okay to cry, its okay to love, its okay to question and its okay to live!!!

My mom called...my niece no longer wants to be one of JWs

my mom called and so did several other folks over the past week to tell me that my neice has announced that she no longer wants to be one of jws and will not be returning to the kingdom hall.

supposedly she made this annoucement a several months ago and no one took her seriously till her mom (my ex-sister-in-law and a super pioneer of more than 20 years) just stopped attending meetings a few months ago.

anyway, since they both seemed to have stopped drinking the kool-aid, i get the conf-call from several family members.
