  as you may have heard, the court of appeal has overturned three previous court decisions in my favour.

  the lawsuit has been given the green light and is basically has remained intact almost exactly the way it started.

  what are the odds of that happening?

  I voiced my concerns on an open forum so that others might make informed choices before sending money.
  
  Not everyone is going to feel the same way about a topic.
  
  I hope he answers my questions. I would love to see JW children protected.
  
  Would you rather I kept my mouth shut and internalized my doubts like I did as a Witness?

  Mr.Hughes, you may have overheard people talking about because your behavior during your Daughter's illness was attention seeking and counterproductive. I lived in Calgary during that time and I heard non witnesses talking about how awful the whole situation was for everyone.
  
  Your daughter died in 2002. Why has it taken this long for you take this kind of action. You were very vocal in the newspapers at that time.
  
  
  I find it hard to believe that you were unable to find a law firm to take your case, especially in Alberta.
  
  
  I feel that you enjoy the attention and drama and pray that you seek counseling.

  My birthday and 1 year anniversary on JWD

  a two for one special!.

  today is my birthday and this thursday marks a full year posting on the forums here.. it's been on my mind recently, thinking over the past year that i thought i'd do a year in review.

  last year, around this time, things were starting to bother me.

  Gonna wait to join until they either df me or I DA which could happen soon cause my brother in law told his car group that Para and I didn't want anything to do with the Witnesses anymore including our families. Which is a lie. And we havent talked to him yet so one of my parents in law is talking. and one of my last witness friends told me off about it and told me I was cold and selfish and my kids are going to die. So yeah I can sense the elders circling.

  ... for a week and a half trip.. i am such a jerk that i gave her a really hard time about it.. it's hard for me to take care of the kids alone and do everything she does.. oh well!.

  Cat pee

  omg i'm so pissed at my cat baby.he has this thing he does when the cat box needs changed.he pees on my clothes and on my bedding.i usually don't know he's doing it till it's to late.. last week i had just changed my bedding and put my 300.00 comferter on my bed for winter.i just climbed in my bed to go to sleep.my cat gets up on the bed and pees on me.. i know what your thinking get rid of the cat he's got a problem.but i can't who would adopt a cat who's a known pee er?

  ?he only does this when the cat box is really bad.i'm usually on top of it but there are times when i get home and i'm too tired to change the cat box.. so now i'm trying a new cat litter.i tried feline pine.now i'm trying a cat litter made of recycled news paper.it's called yesterdays news.so far i like it better then feline pine because i hate the smell of the pine cat litter.it smells like i have giant hamsters living with me.. now i'm left with cleaning up the pee smell out of my comferter.i bought some vinager because another poster told me it gets pee and other oders out of fabric.i'm soaking the comferter in it now and i will leave it soaking till monday.my comferter is too big to just throw in a washer and wash.i need to take it to a laundry mat and put it in a washer that can wash 4 loads at once.. does anyone else have any tips for me.number one to get the smell out if the vinager doesn't work and number two to get him to pee where he's supposed to..

  I used an enzyme cleaner from the pet store after my cats used under the stairs as a litter box while we were on holidays for three weeks. (don't ask me why the kid we paid to clean the boxes didn't find it odd that they didn't need cleaning)
  
  My cats will not use any other litter besides unscented clumping litter. I tried yesterday's news and they refused to use the boxes at all, that was a mess.
  
  Mine pee on the mat in from of the boxes if i let them go too long. or a handy plastic bag which is really odd.
  
  I also had to buy a new one a few months ago after they decided one just didn't work for them anymore.
  
  I would make a trip to the pet store and see what they have. Might be a bit expensive but worth the investment especially if you intend to keep fostering cats.

  Update on laser eye surgery

  well, tuesday was the day for my laser eye surgery.

  to be honest - it really wasn't that bad at all!

  for all those that commented on my other thread about being chicken - if it's something you are thinking about - i say do it!.

  I had mine done two years ago and it was the best thing ever. I had terrible vision and really bad astigmatism in both eyes.
  
  I was totally unprepared to sit up after the operation and be able to read the computer screen across the room. My eyes were sore for a few days but I found the Refreshing Eye gel worked wonders. My night vision is fine, still have some haloing on wet nights but not enough to scare me. I find some stores make my eyes really dry. Canadian Tire, big grocery stores..I think it has something to do with the fumes and lights but that is a problem I had before as well.
  
  I still reach to take my glasses off when I get in the shower. Still freaks me out that I can see the bottles of shampoo and read the labels.
  
  I dove into a pool for the first time in years. Last time I did that I missed the end of the diving board and took a nasty fall cause my depth perception was all screwed up.
  
  My kids don't even remember me wearing glasses.
  
  I also threw out all my make up and started fresh to reduce the chance of accidentally introducing bacteria into my eyes. I also had to get lessons in applying makeup.
  
  Walking in the rain and feeling the drops on my face was weird.
  
  I went thru LasikMD and know a few other people who used them as well and we are all very pleased.
  
  My vision is now 20/15.
