Our mind can fool us. Sometimes I think I remember something that happened but can't really know if I dreamed it or if it really happened. It is usually something from the past.

There's A Ghost At My Place Of Employment
by finallysomepride inok some of you will laugh at this, but it's true, there is a spirit that haunts the premises where i work.. it has spoken to me once when i was locking up, it was 1 single word "hello", i looked around and saw nothing, i ignored it, set the alarm locked the door & went home.
other times i have felt something brush passed me as i have entered the building early in the morning.
the experience that got to me most happened the other nite when i was called back to the store by security, as i pulled into the drive way there was a man standing at the rear of the building, in the split second of looking away he dissapeared, there's no way that he could have run off the property in that split second.. what do you think?.

If Jesus is God the ransom doesn't make sense. God sacraficed himself to himself so he could forgive humans. How could he be David's offspring if he was God? How could he have said on the cross or stake, "Why have you forsaken me." if he was God? The whole bible doesn't make any sense to me anymore, just a few verses here and there that could be said by a human without God involved. Ken P.

Adjusting to illness & old age
by dozy inthe point is sometimes made in these forums that the societies constant insistence that the end is nigh has meant that so many jws fail to make adequate financial provisions for their retirement.. however , ive noticed an increasing trend amongst jws in middle age to elderly ones that they also havent made adequate emotional provisions , as they have been constantly told that they would never get old in this system.
most non-jws , aware that sooner or later they will experience a deterioration in their health, are mentally better prepared to cope with this.
with many jws it seems to throw them completely.. a good friend , aged around 50 , has just been diagnosed with a fairly serious illness.

That is so true. Oldage is hard to deal with. Almost everyweek some relative or someone you know dies. Money is scrace and debt is almost impossible to pay. I'm 73 now and I'm feeling my body go weak. I can't lift things that used to be light to me. My joints are going bad but I'm still in good health, at least I think I am. My wife thinks I should be able to fix everything I used to work on but I don't want to do those things. My mind is going bad, I can't remember the names of people or things most of the time like I could a few years ago.
I'm really lucky to be in as good of shape as I am. Most people think I'm 60 or younger. I don't take any medicine and my blood pressure is OK. I've gotten some depression lately and that bugs me. Enjoy your youth while you have it.

OBAMA WINS NOBEL PEACE PRIZE
by WuzLovesDubs inhe couldnt bring the olympics to chicago but he accomplished this coveted award after only a few months in office.
somebody out there sees this man as doing what the planet needs.
perhaps.. but i for one am not as shocked as most.

I was looking in the upstairs junk room and found these kingdom song records from the 60s. I can't remember why we had them back then. Were they used to play at the KH to sing with when there was no piano player? I have done a good job of forgetting all the JW expierences from back then.
When I was a little kid my grandma played the pump organ when we met in a second story room of an old sister's home. Later my aunt played a piano in the first KH in this area that my dad laid the cinder blocks when it was built. He wasn't a brick mason but he did a good job. It is still a church for some religion here.

Odd things the anointed have done

Blondie, I didn't see that part of the show, I was in the other room and my wife told me that he was living in a JW community. I was a little skeptical, I've never seen a JW community.
