My Story

i was born into this religon in 1966 to second generation witness parents.
from the time i can remeber even at three or four years old it was drilled in my head that this was the last days.

I was never baptized, but still treated like I was when I was disassociated at 16. Apparantly because I was unbaptized, I was later told at 19 that they shouldnt have done this to me. They certainly destroyed a few years of my life from their treating me like a baptized publisher though.

Megan is in labour
by KW13 inin another thread i mentioned megans waters broke, well now she is having strong contractions and is due to go into real labour anytime soon.
the hospital are ringing me when to go up.. hope your all well, thanks for your support - honestly we really love you all and if you can just post a reply to megan, when she gets home and is able she will read and reply when she gets a chance (will be a week at most).. i am sat here awaiting my 'phone call' lol..

When I first started investigating religion, particularly the JW religion online, I was quite amazed and intrigued to read of their Masonic background.
It is also very interesting now looking back, that the one elder whom I had a close friendship with and respect for had told me when I was about 14 years old during music lessons that he taught me, that he was a Mason before he became a JW.
I am still pondering over this memory and thought, why he told me this to start with. As well as knowledge that he often visited my grandmothers ex husband whom I was allowed no contact with because he was considered an apostate who also practiced dowsing.
I totally respected this man and still have respect although he has passed on. He was also very respected in the congregation. He never did get in trouble for his visiting with the apostate grandfather, nor for his avid research and study using many different sources constantly researching different topics.
My mind still wonders about the Masonic thing though, and why he told me at such a young age. I didn't remember it until years later when I started researching.

Well for me, there is no good answer that makes any sense nor seems right. As far as I am concerned it is a sick and twisted request, one that any decent god if he were real would not request unless he was cold and blood thirsty himself.

I do 85% of the time, then there are days I don't like myself at all. Life is continual growth though, so I am sure those other days will dwindle away eventually.
