this is probably going to be the most difficult thing i have ever written.
but, since i dont plan on being around [here] much longer, what the hell?
for some time now, we have discussed and expressed our outrage and horror at child molestation.

Welcome to the Board.

i was just thinking after reading some of the posts, and wanted to ask you something..... do any of you feel, and i mean right in the back of your minds, that jws might still have the true faith (truth).
i've been inactive for a few years now and don't attend meetings at the kh, apart from the memorial, and occasional convention.
please don't shout me down, its just that to me, even though i've been out for a while and my reasons for "drifting" away were very painful to me, i don't feel as the majority do here.
Hi Scoobysnax,
You asked:

Yes, I do sometimes, and that the apostates are leading Jehovah's honest hearted people astray. Especially when an elder will stop by with the magazines and assure me of the congregation's love. That's when it helps to remember how deceitfully the Watchtower has dealt with us. Research the UN, Mexico/Malawi political hypocrisy, and of course the Silent Lambs issue.
Best wishes to you.

i am a much happier person now that i've excepted the fact that i will die one day.

for 23 years i've been brought up in the jehovahs witness religion, and recently i found myself on the outside looking in, not the inside desperately seeking the answer and trying to please god, feeling guilty when i missed meetings etc...but no more.
it's taken a while to de-program myself in thier way of thinking.
Hi Pink Dot, and Welcome. Thanks for sharing your story.

my brother (raised a jw, never baptized, not a jw at all) and i were talking this morning, and he informed me that our grandmother - our last living grandparent - is very ill. it sounds as though she will die soon, because she stopped taking her insulin and all other medications.
my mother informed my brother after receiving a phone call from her brother/my uncle.. i'm the only one of my siblings who was not informed directly by our mother.
out of all my siblings, i'm the only one who was baptized as a jw and then left, so i'm thinking this is par for the course with being shunned, although my grandmother was never a jw herself.

I agree with OFC and others. Go see your Gram and screw the parents.

and my heart is breaking!..we just had it confirmed today.
he has 9 months to live so they say.
among all the heartbreak and pain he is crying and begging me to go to the kingdom hall with him.

I am so sorry. The prospect of losing a mate has to be one of the hardest things we face.
When my mother was dying of cancer 2 years ago, I crawled up in her bed and told her that i was going to start going back to the hall and that my brother was interested, too. i told her I would see her in paradise. I don't care that I lied and I would do it again.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hippie,
Best of luck. Don't let them mess with your head.

since watchtower attempted to "ruin the earth" they were required to post $25,000.00 bond in their cleanup effort.
if watchtower continues to comply with the law of the land, $20,000.00 of the $50,000.00 fine is suspended.

Sentinel,
You can be sure if Brother Farmer's cow manure ran into a local stream and polluted the waterways, and a case was brought against him that hit the local newspaper, he would be hauled in for some "loving counsel" real quick.

Deddaisy,
Yes, I would be interested in that information. Not sure if I'll be able to understand it,though
I tried to follow sKally's threads but got lost somehow. I'm just taking a wild guess, and this is only a guess, can Watchtower be drilling or mining(?) for oil shale as alternative energy for one of their many holdings. I'm not trying to say something that will be taken by lurkers as making false accusations against watchtower. Just asking questions. Thank you.

well i went to the cancer clinic yesterday, where i was told not only do i have endometrial cancer, i also have a rare form of it called clear cell cancer.
apparently, it's a very aggressive cancer and has a tendancy to spread towards the lymph nodes.. i was absolutely stunned when then told me this one..........yep, i don't smoke, do drugs, i'm not a drunk and i don't screw around and yet i get cancer.. i really would like to try the gerson therapy clinic in california, but it's $4,900.00 us per week........so with the conversion from canadian dollars, it would be about $8,000/week and i'd need to be there for at least 3 weeks.
anyone have about $25,000 i can borrow?
((((((((((((Mary))))))))))))
I am so sorry. If i had the money, I would loan it to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
