Overwhelmed...
by Tired of the Hypocrisy ini have a feeling that the elders in our area are overwhelmed with responsibilities.
my father in law some may recall is quite ill and has an abusive wife who is a regular pioneer.
he has repeatedly asked for visits, shepherding calls and help from the elders to get his wife in line and tell her she needs to help him instead of everyone else.

EMPTY KINGDOM HALL
by thebigdebate ini have heard from my father (who is an elder about 50 years old) that there is a great seperating work going on within the org.
he said that almost all of the people my age 25 to 35 have quit going to our hall (about 20 people).
i have not been to a meeting in about 1 year.

by vitty inwhen you were still in the org, did you ever wonder what the apostates were saying?
the society would just say lies and half truths.i always assumed it was about the trinity, and other religious stuff.
i thought they were exjws who had become born agains !.

i thought they are either sad, hopeless and struggling sinners OR hateful, evil, envy and destructive liars. in both cases they were this way, because they know we've the truth and thats why they behave this way. and of course satans influences. i wouldve never imagined that many of them leave the organization not to sin, but to have a good conscience, because of the sins of the organization. others leave the org because they sin, yes, but those are far from apostate. they believe in it and many of them try to come back some time. whats true is that both groups are at least at one time sad, because everyone he/she loved suddenly turn their back on them when they need it at most. it isnt simple to realize the religion you're following was wrong or to think you get killed in armageddon without a single person who is willing to help for real.

Proof that WT literature is not needed...
by The Last Nephilim ini have recently come to fully appreciate what is stated at 2timothy 3:16, 17 (nwt).
it clearly declares that nothing is needed outside of the bible in order for a person be be "fully competent" and "completely equipped" for "every good work".
how can anyone, especially the wts, claim that the bible alone is not enough after reading these scriptures?

sorry, but i dont read the scripture as you do - but very very similar. for me it only says that the scripture is the perfect base. it doesnt say ppl MUST use it alone. other books are possible, when they doesnt twist scriptures (what most jws falsely believe is true when it comes to wt books)
but, youre absolutely right, it doesnt say by FAR, that one MUST use other books as well to have a benefit.
clearly the wt library 2007 is wasted ressources

Natural disasters in past and future paradise.
by Awakened07 inthe future earthly paradise is supposed to be a calm, peaceful place where people can live forever in harmony with each other and nature, a place where nothing bad will happen, and suffering, death and destruction does not exist.. there is a problem here (well, there are several, but here's another).
what about natural disasters?
easy-peasy to answer; jehovah will make it so those never happen, right?.

as far as i know satanists doesnt worship satan. most of 'em doesnt even believe he exist! satanists believe in humans being able and having the right to be their own "god".
of course there are also ppl who "worship" satan somehow, but those arent the satanists that are common.
when i was more into dubby-nation i thought satanists are those who actively worship satan and of course they know we have the truth and they hate us for having it, because they know they will die soon.

my question is why don't the stones cry out in areas where the preaching work is banned or has very few witnesses?
both india and china have populations in excess of 1 billion people, but very very few dubs to spread the "good news".

the texts reads like some christian guy wrote this about the jws. is this really a neutral text? the catholic/protestant church is a cult by this standards too, but seems to be sorted out for no reason. even their doctrines are mentioned as a sign of a non-cult. it smells somehow in my eyes (nose).
