actually i do not believe in aliens visiting us. i think its possible that there are other civilizations in the universe, maybe even in our galaxy, but by any chance they arent visiting us.
my wife has only been to one meeting in 13 months, and during this past year, she has been quite the little apostate.
she has been warning her work colleague, our neighbours, and anybody who would listen about the witnesses.
mrs iron has been quite a little star in that area.
when my time comes and i have to face my family who asks me "WHHHYYY???!! WHHYYY have you upset us?!" (alone this question is so laughable but thats just how JWs see that matter) ill wont say a thing against the organization. if you do every jw takes it personal and their rest of rational thinking is dropped and they will get furious hate-spitting beasts. i see that on my wife and i know how i had reacted some years ago. its completely normal in that state of involvement in such a destructive cult. i hope i only tell'em that i found out that its not the truth and that i finally couldnt live a lie. no further explanation. when they ask i tell'em "if you're interested find out yourself. i wont fight with you about it.".
i hope i have this self-control when my own mother might tell me that she dont wanna see me again. the love!!
ok so i send my father a letter telling him several reasons i do not believe the witnesses are jehovah's organization.i also told my father at the end of the letter that i was setting some boundaries once and for all.
that i would not be emotionally blackmailed or verbally abused anymore that if he wanted to talk to me as a father then i welcome that and if he can't do that then i do not wish to comunicate with him.
i sent it about a week ago and was waiting for all hell to break loose but nothing happend.
in my believe your sisters letter was a try to catch you somehow. "prove that the society isnt gods organization, but you are not allowed to use anything". your reply was the best possible i think. she cant prove it is gods organization without the organizations literature too.
in both cases its like proving "grass is green" without the chance to examine some grass :D
i used to read the old h2o site and i believe they brought up that this place was up......either that or i typed in jws on search.
at first i was lurking on a board in my language and posted there after some while. unfortunately it wasnt well visited plus i didnt found anyone who is in my situation (all long ex-jw who couldnt relate very well) and i feared to use a bigger forum in my mother tongue because it is more likely to have a fellow jw "accidently" visiting those sites and see my posts (paranoiaaaa). i left there and since i can understand english very well (understand not write lol) i searched for an english forum and found this on my first search. i came, i saw, i posted.

lets say that i have invented a contraption that removes all contaminates ( organic and inorganis ) from any sample of water, including desalination process.. what would be your marketing plan ?
who would you approach initially?.
would you sell the technology to a firm that would take care of marketing and distribution?.
i think it would depend on how you would like to benefit from it. do you want ppl from benefit or do you want yourself to benefit from it.
if you want yourself benefitting you should file a patent and sell it for $$$. if you want to help humankind you should open it up to the public domain and give it everyone so the production costs get low (everyone can create it). you wont get a penny for it in the worst case.
im not a professionell thought :) just my two cents.

mho: humans always think the present is the most difficult time to deal with in mankinds history. the future is imagined even more terrible.
nothing changed. there were always times "hard to deal with". the only thing that changed is todays comfort in the western world and the level of technology.
