my wife and i met with 3 elders for a "judicial hearing".. our crime: simply put, was talking.
i showed a friend the un website where the wts was listed as an ngo which then led to a 2 hour discussion of various doubts that we both have had.
my wife also showed a friend the un thing but also discussed with her a first hand account of a pedophile cover-up that we knew about in our former congregation.

Damn, I guess you told me! I am very well aware of what the term "kinds" means. I was not referring to that. I was referring to your interpretation.
You just don't get it, do you? Here is the bottom line:
1. According to the Bible, God did not use any supernatural means in building the Ark. Therefore, it is not logical to assume He used any supernatural means to preserve Noah and the animals while on the Ark.
2. The logistics of 8 people tending to thousands of animals is beyond reason.
3. The logistics of putting thousands of animals, along with food and water on the Ark is beyond reason.
4. We could not do today, even with our technology, what Noah supposedly did 5,000 years ago.
5. Therefore, the whole account does not stand to logical reason.
6. Therefore, the whole "Noah's Ark thing" is fable; myth; a crock of shit.
7. Therefore, the Bible as a whole cannot be trusted.
8. Therefore, the God of the Bible cannot be trusted.
Any questions? (I hope not. This discussion with you is fruitless.)
Now, I guess I need to get some sleep. I am having a hard time understanding non-reasoning religionists.

Now you say "seven" equals 7 "pairs," not 7 individuals.

How about you? Do you have a website or book designed to encourage? If so what is it?
I get comments from people like you from time to time, basically criticizing what I am doing. But if there were more people like me doing it, I wouldn't have to do it.
And I would love to ask you "old guys" a few questions, but I fear that I will get answers that somehow involve using the "God-crutch" to solve problems. I don't do "God" anymore. Used to. I called, nobody home.

I have come to know that the Flood story is a crock. One thing that occured to me awhile back is, "What about drinking water?" How in the world would Noah have stored enough drinking water for his family and all the animals? Not to mention keeping it fresh.
There is simply no way. Just one more of the many, many logistical problems with the story.
as we all know the watchtower society was founded in late 1800 and russell bought his chronology from the adventist barbour which had the beginning of the last days in 1799, - jesus parousia in 1874 and his crowning in 1878 and the definite end in 1914.. as we know russell died in 1916 having lived long enough to watch all this insane drivel utterly fail.
the next president rutherford, didnt fare any better, he immediately came up with new dates, like 1918, 1919, 1920 and 1925, which of course also proved to be a complete fiasco.
just before he died he had a stab at 1941, but that was of course as usual also a failure.

The Watchtower organization was yelling about the “end” right through the beginning of the new millennium 1899 – 1900 and continuing with this same mindless drivel for 100 years. Have they learned anything at all from over 100 years of spouting complete nonsense?
There is nothing like summing it up. I wish somehow I could get this point into the heads of some of my relatives, namely,
"What was the Organization saying in 1899? Yes, the end is coming soon. What was the Organization saying in 1999? Yes, the end is coming soon."
This is amazing when you think about it. Well over 100 years of saying the end is coming soon, and... NOTHING.

the history of the watchtower organization is kept secret from new members and its own history is proof that the god of the bible would not accept these false prophets and false doctrines in his church body.. the founder of the jehova witness was named charles russell from pa. russell stated that in 1799 the end times started and that in 1874 christ invisibly returned to earth to rule.
russells prophecy was that in 1914 the world would come to an end.
russell changed that date to 1915 and later to 1918. russell claimed that only his published books could allow people to correctly understand the bible.

It is commendable that you are trying to enlighten JW's and others about the WTS, but:
1. Obviously you never were a JW;
2. You are preaching to the choir (and a whole lotta' agnostics/atheists;
3.
Gods word the bible (King James version) clearly teaches God is a trinity and without Christ being accepted in place of your sins you will perish in Hell for no works can justify you to God. The only way to the father in heaven is through accepting Jesus Christ as the free gift from God in place of your sins.
Nothing personal, but you can tell your "God" to take His "free gift" and shove it up His Ass. Did I sin? Will I be going to Hell?
