the awesome power of god
if you are willing to put faith in jah, the only true god, then i am willing to share my experiences with you.
jehovah is able to humble any man, no matter how strong or powerful he thinks he is..........in a microsecond.
I think Brown Boy is Bibleman with a new name.
some family moved in across the street a few months ago.
i have never talked to them.
all i know about them is what the other neighbors had to say.
Okay, here is our story...
Next door lives an elderly JW woman and her mother. The dub never goes to meetings (she listens on the phone) and has always been fairly friendly, even after we were DF'd. About 3 or 4 years ago, her daughter and son-in-law moved in with their two teenage kids. They have had absolutely nothing to do with us, even ignoring us when we happened to be out in the yard. The daughter was raised a dub, but never got baptized, and married a "worldly" guy. They do the christmas thing complete with lights.
Last August when Hurricane Charley came through, I was out of town, and Tracy (Think41Self) picked up some shingles around our yard that had blown off our roof. She put them in OUR trash can, and left the trash can next to OUR house to wait for garabage pickup day. Since there was no electric or phone, Tracy was staying with her friend and co-worker about 50 miles away. A couple of days later, she came home to check on things.
The dumbshit neighbors had dumped out all the shingles that she had picked up, and took OUR trash can to use for themselves. They didn't say a word, and once the garbage was picked up, they put OUR trash can along with their own. We went and retrieved it (unfortunately, they weren't home at the time).
They also took another one of our nice rolling trash cans a few days later. By this time I was home, and Tracy and I were just coming home when the dumbshit daughter (the one raised a dub) was taking her trash cans back up to her house after garbage pickup. We caught her take OUR trash can back up to put with her own. So I stopped, rolled down the window and said, "Do you plan on returning our trashcan?" She didn't say a word, and took it over to our house.
I've spent the past 3 or 4 years trying to be cordial, but no longer. Now I shun them just as they have us. No more chances. And I'm just waiting for them to try pulling another stunt.
We have some very nice neighbors on the other side, but across the street is another psycho family, and some new neighbors down the street apparently think that our street is the Indy 500... they've run over 3 raccoons in the past 6 months, which I buried. Next time, I'm taking the dead body down and putting on their front door step.
After reading some of the other posts, I have to wonder why there are so many bad neighbors all over. People never cease to amaze me... for the good or the bad.

Hi Peggy, here is a link to some of my thoughts after leaving the organization. Maybe it will help.
Who Am I? ?How to Reinvent Yourself After Leaving the Watchtower Society
All my best,

we are so busted.
i learned tonight, from my source, that someon saw our christmas tree and reported it to the elders.. rats, our days of anonymity are likely almost over.
starting tuesday, the local congregation has the circuit and the district overseer, before their ca next weekend.
Dave said if they call him on the phone and ask if we have a Christmas tree, he is going to ask that elder if he masterbates. When he is shocked that he would be asked such a personal question, Dave will tell him he won't answer personal questions either.
Hey Marilyn, now that's funny! Tell Dave I'll remember that one for future possible use!
Hope you guys are well. Looking forward to seeing you again before Armageddon.

my grandson is going to a private school that is run by a church.
his home work assignment was about jewish history in the bible.
i didn't realize that i had forgotten all i had known about the bible.
Hey Ken, I suffer from CRS when it comes to the bible too... and I'm proud of it. I hope you are getting along well, my friend.
Doug
it was made by a women who in later years wore crotchless panties and bras which had holes in the nipple areas.
he not only knew the woman in question (she's now deceased), he has met her numerous times.
up until recently this secret of her year's long sexual affair with rutherford was kept by the family.
Hey Doug,
Great article... I read it and all the posts with interest. I called my mom to ask her if she ever knew Bonnie Boyd. She said the name was familiar. She did know Worth Thornton. I found it interesting that he said that Bonnie had slept with half the Bethelites during the 50's. One has to wonder... my dad was there during that time. If he was alive, I'd ask him about it.
I mentioned to mom about how JFR was a tyrant (she agreed) and had a mistress (she denied that). All she could do was sing his praises and say "but Rutherford got us through the war by strengthening the brothers and inspiring them to take a stand."
All I can say is NEVER underestimate the human capacity for denial.

i can't stand it when i hear a person saying how god "protected our house," when their neighbor's house lies in ruins.
i can prove this is pure, unadulterated, bullshit:
our home was left virtually untouched, and the house across the street lost their roof.
Just wanted to say that we all appreciate your expressions of kindness!
A couple of you said you thought this was a serious thread... well it is, just not what you first think. I'm with you. As I stated above, the "God saved us" kind of thinking just makes me want to puke. It is the stuff of morons and shallow thinkers.
As far as an update, I'm now in St. George, Utah... got to do a couple of leadership seminars in Utah this week. Tracy and the boys are in a motel in Venice, Florida. They are doing well. The power is still not back on, but we have hope that it won't be too long.
It sucks that I was not able to get home and help. It is hard to deal with, but Tracy (Think41Self) is an incredible woman who knows how to take care of anything. That's just one of the things that I love about her... She has maintained an upbeat and cheerful attitude through this whole thing.
I hope everyone who dealt with Hurricane Charley faired well.
My best to all,
Doug Kelley

Check out this pic from Hurricane Charley. The sign is supposed to say, "Shell Factory."
