People You Wouldn't Mind See Going
by minimus incertain people are in positions that can affect us.
certain family members or jws can make our lives miserable.. some politicians, we would be happy to see them or at least their terms expire.. certain sports figures, religious leaders, actors, and other types cold be on our "wish list" to get out of our brains.. can you think of anyone that you wouldn't mind ever hearing about again??

I'm struggling to understand the USA no candy at assemblies thing!?
by jambon1 inas i read it on your posts, it seems that at your assemblies there were candy machines which you were somehow forbiden to use.. am i right?.

In the place that we held ca's and dc's they had an underground parking area that had soda and candy machines. I remember being sent down to get my mom a real coke (not that carppy shasta cola or lemon-lime) and no one, that I know of, said anything about it.
Of course, I could easily see an announcement being made that the failing and decrepit snakes had made the loving provision of making shasta available to the brothers, so why give your money to the worldly owners of the machines in the garage? Besides, why would one need a snickers or a mars bar when you had frozen pudding (SAVE YOUR SPOON!) and past-ripe cherries to enjoy? I wonder if they ever made one?

I predict the Sooners will play LSU in a repeat of the 2004 game. Look for the same result(it will also be played in the Superdome)....Geaux Tigers!!!
I know that you're correct about the date of the game against LSU, but I had to point out the bowl game was played at the end of the 2003 season.

They've been showing this program on one of the satellite channels in my area for several months now. I watched it and thought it was a pretty good program. I would like to point out that the electric car is not completely dead because I see one made by Honda on almost a daily basis while traveling to work. I think about that car every time I have to fill up.

Antichrist
by Aleman inwho is the antichrist?
the antichrist is a liar and a deceiver, bent on destroying a persons relationship with christ and with god.
john 2:22 - who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that jesus is the christ?

I have seen your thought and claims, are the antichrist, unbelievers, unfaithful, misguided, sith lords, who went to the dark side. You gave into the hate, ambition, selfishness, and the way of the demon sith lord Satan.
Come on, a Star Wars reference in the midst of a troll post? You're not trying hard enough, Aleman.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: May the Lord rebuke you.

How Have You Gone About Making Friends Since Leaving the Witnesses ?
by flipper ini've noticed lately that some on our board, or perhaps for many of us, that's why i'm writing this , have had a challenge making new friends after leaving the jehovah's witnesses religion.
it has been a mixed bag for me.
i have met some through my wife, who is not a witness.

When we first faded my wife and I basically had no one else besides each other. We've been best friends since we met so that was okay. Later we moved to Denver and I joined a dart league and we made some really good friends through that. Most of our other friends we made through our jobs. Since we moved back to Oklahoma many of our friends have been made through our church.
My wife told me the other day that I didn't need to go with her to our daughter's gymnastics class on Saturday mornings because she and another mom had gotten acquainted and were going to coffee during the practices.

For Open Mind:
Witnesses' Lethal and Cruel Doctrines
Sir: I served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses for more than 30 years. Like thousands of others I left the faith because of its strict enforcement of policies that clearly undermine the priciple of "public benefit" ("Who are the Jehovah's Witnesses, and why do they refuse blood transfusions?", 6 November): not just the lethal "no blood transfusions" doctrine but also the cruel punishment of disfellowshipping (excommunication) that severs family relationships in the harshest manner imaginable.
The Charity Commission should investigate these devastating practices, and should reflect upon the lives of two newborn twins who find themselves without their mother. J Nicolaou
Not a scan, just typed it from the OP. An excellent, succinct letter. Bravo!
