after laylas' : do you think looks are important thread, thought this would be a good follow up.. personally i'm just a regular girl, nothing exception, got good teeth, i do love my hair and don't think i'm ugly, but know that i'm no stunner either .

... birthdays too!.

well, not yet, but if the governing body decides that it's okay to celebrate christmas and birthdays .... how do you suppose the typical jw would feel ... especially those who lived their whole life being told to not celebrate and.

wishing they could?.

Okay, I'll play (I do fall into the it'll never happen crowd, too though).

My mom would call me to ask me to install lights on her house. When I question her about why it's okay to celebrate now, she would give me a blank stare or a puzzled look and say, "What are you talking about, we could always celebrate Christmas. Don't you remember all the great presentswe gave you and parties we went to in December?"

Anybody read Orwell's Animal Farm? My mom is the hard working big strong horse with a really baaaad memory.

I just watched the Addams Family movie yesterday. Wednesday and Pugsley were selling lemonade at a booth when a girl scout walks up and asks if the lemonade they are selling is made from real lemons because she only eats and drinks 'real' food products. Then she offers to buy some of their lemonade if they will buy some of her girl scout cookies.

Wednesday asks her if her cookies are, "made from real girl scouts?"

Just thought I'd share. Caveat emptor.

I don't own the kind of cat that gets to excited about much. After the yo-yo whizzed past her, she looked up at me with an expression that said, "Hey, dummy...control your kid."

And then she went promptly back to sleep.

This is true. My kid recently went to a birthday party and was given a gift bag to take home. Inside was an untested yo-yo that she did not check prior to using. She whipped that thing down and the string wasn't secured to the yo-yo so it shot off and came inches from hitting the cat.

While I think there should be some regulation regarding yo-yo's, I oppose outlawing them.

When yo-yo's are outlawed only outlaws will have yo-yo's.
