  Could we have stumbled onto the reason behind the higher education thing ?

  in the mid 1990s the wtbts backed-off just a little bit on its stance about higher education publically while it was still discouraged unofficially.

  now, all of a sudden they are publically clamping back down.

  and coincidentally they are clamping back down just as ben schroeder was entering his final year or years at columbia law school.

  hello all.. first of all i wanted to say thank you for all the help i've received from you all in recent months.

  my life has changed completed in such a short amount of time, and some of the things that have happened recently have finally just "hit" me as of late.

  i definitely need to take more time to just stop and think, actually accept the changes, and adjust.

  Faders-do you still enjoy old JW friends? Nothing in common?

  as a pretty new fader with no friendships other than jw's, i spend virtually all time alone, or with my jw wife.

  i have little in common now with her or old friends.

  at least the old friends and i liked biking (both kinds), golf, hiking, the beach, camping, tennis, boating, fishing, football (tv).

  he hangs out with all the middle aged women at the hall.

  According to recent findings, soy may have played a big part in defining the sexuality of children who drank soy infant formula.

  According to a Swiss report, 100 mg isoflavones taken by adult women provide the estrogenic equivalent of a contraceptive pill. 10 This means that 10 mg provides the estrogenic equivalent of a contraceptive pill to a baby of 6 kg. Thus, the average amount taken in by a child on soy-based formula provides the estrogenic equivalent of at least 4 birth control pills. Because babies are more vulnerable than adults to the effects of dietary estrogens, the effects could actually be much greater than that of 4 birth control pills. Hence the statement, "Babies on soy formula receive the estrogenic equivalent of at least 5 birth control pills per day."

  A study just released indicates that vegetarian mothers are five times more likely to give birth to a boy with a birth defect of the penis than non-vegetarian mothers. Researchers blamed the problem on the estrogenic effect of soy consumed during pregnancy.

  Banned Religion

  one of the teachings of the witnesses is that prophetically, it has been revealed that religion will be banned shortly, and that this is another sign of the great tribulation.

  assuming the other prophecies were a load of hoodlum, how would you feel if you turned on the news this morning and saw that bush, brown, and other world leaders declared a united front, banning religion?

  would it make you wonder whether the witnesses may have been right?
