  Did Jesus baptize others? Dunk or sprinkle? Words used?

  i am inspired to start this thread because of something i read on another thread.. burn the ships says it doesn't matter if you are baptised by an athiest or an elder, as long as it's done the right way.. so, since every religion has their spin on "the right way".... what concrete example did jesus give in this ritual?.

  can any of you find any actual description of jesus dunking someone in water to baptise them?.

  all i find is that jesus "baptized" by giving words of instruction.. .

  They only baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy bOrganization . Leaving out the Holy Spirit would make it invalid, IMO.

  I think this is an abomination. I think it is also blasphemy.

  Does anyone else see it that way?

  "The entire baptismal arrangement, including this public expression of faith, is essential for salvation."

  So in these new baptismal vows the name of the Father is Jehovah. The name of the son is Jesus. In addition we now have the man whose name is:-

  "God's Spirit Directed organization"

  ok mymom's grandfather had 3 sons wyman jr, richard,and david my grandfather.i just heard a story about wyman jr that grossed me out big time.wyman jr had a daughter carol who had a half brother denny.denny and carol grew up together.carol didn't know her father.when carol was about 18 or 19 her brother denny got married.they had lived together all there lives.carols mother was dead and she had no one else to live with.so carol went to california and met her father wyman jr for the first time.she moved in with him and his second wife.carol got pregnant by her father wyman jr.. now my father told me that carol also knocked up by her own half brother/son.. her excuse for getting knocked up by her own father was that she never knew him so she didn't have a father daughter relationship with him.. my mothers family was from west virgina..

  How close together were her kid's eyes? I guess incest is best.

  From what I have found, genetic defects usually become pronounced in the third generation.

  So that would mean her grandchildren's children may have abnormalities. Possibly albino.

  Sounds to me like you should get a contract for the movie rights before you tell the rest of the details.

  Hey. I would choose it in a Neilsen rating questionairre.

  Do you think she could be missing something...nutritionally?

  Do you think it could all boil down to some sort of chemical imbalance with these people?

  I wonder if carrot juice and wheatgrass enemas would help these folks.

  I know I may come off as making fun...but I am very sorry you have to put up with this. And I do truly wonder if a lack of some nutrient in the brain keeps people from some proper reasoning function. I wish it could be so simple to fix.

  The Memorial

  i saw some mention of this in another post, but i wasn't sure if there was a topic about it.

  being raised in the "truth" its always pointed out that even people who haven't been to meetings in years still come to the memorial.

  ive noticed that a lot of time that is actually the case.

  Before it was "Memorial" it was Passover.

  Passover is a CELEBRATION OF EXODUS.

  Why not return the occassion to its original meaning this year?

  Finally at midnight on the 15th of Nissan all firstborn in the land of Egypt began dying, including the firstborn of King Pharaoh, exactly as Moshe had warned.

  word is spreading.. the elder that works with me told me that a ministerial servant in his congo asked him about the un scandal.. he confirmed to the brother that the watchtower was involved with the un but later disassociated itself and warned him that not all elders would handle his question so discreetly.. i doubt we'll see the cult disappear, but it's encouraging to see that many are waking up and are at least asking some difficult questions..

  tired of the hypocrisy's post got me thinking ... how many jw "kids" over the age when they should have left home still live with their parents.

  i say this because i have many of those in my congregation.

  fyi it looks real bad to be a older man (ie 25 and up) scrub laying up at home unless you have a outstanding circumstance i.e.
