I am not sure I agree with you about the Apostle Paul. He may have been very attracted to women and maybe couldn't control himself. However, I do agree he did have some serious issues about women which the idiots in this religion with their shit encrusted brains have used to justify their anti-woman stance in all the stupid articles they print.

by LearningToFly ini've been trying to figure this one out for awhile now, it's something i have let go and dealt with but i do have some questions regarding it now.
when i was seven, i had an older jw female cousin who was thirteen who forced me into sexual activities.
she used threat of bodily harm as her way of forcing this.

((Hugs)) This is a hard one for sure. According to the law she would not be a pedophile, she was a minor child, legally at the time the abuse occurred. But the abuse still happened, you and your sister were still affected by what she did. I would view it as a kid who was screwed up and was repeating the abuse cycle, the mentality of a 13 year old who has been abused herself could be very childlike and unaware of how wrong what she was doing actually is, after all, this is what she was taught at home. If she continued to do abusive behaviors as an adult, she is most definitely a pedophile.
The fact that she has never contacted you, never apoligized for what she did, indicates she probably hasn't received any professional help. I would suggest if you really want to know and settle it in your mind, contact her, via email, letter, phone and tell her how effected you were by what happened, that you forgive her (if you want to that is) and see what kind of response you get. You never know, contacting her and making her face it and telling her you forgive her, might be something she desperately needs to hear to heal herself. I was in a very similar situation with a child (meaning he was a kid at the time he abused me) abuser myself who as an adult came to me, begging for forgiveness for what he had done. The person in question told me that many times he had contemplated suicide over the things he had done and being given the forgiveness was cleansing for both of us. Wish you the best, whatever you decide to do or not do.

if someone might've been "stumbled" by our actions or speech, we would make sure we would do everything possible to not upset another fellow brother or sister.. i would not have gone to an "r" rated movie.
now, i go to any rated or unrated movie because i don't give a sh*t what smeone might feel over my choice.. what things are you free to do without worrying that someone might be disturbed over it?

Turn off and unplug any electrical appliances when they aren't in use. Dont' have your place lit up like a airport runway strip, if you aren't in a room, turn off the light.
Like some of the posters mentioned, don't throw out food, make a sauce, cake, muffins, something with it. Buy staple groceries in bulk, canned tomatoes, flour, vanilla. Saves from paying a large price for a small bottle or package more often.
Cut down on long distance plans, cell phone plans, cable by bundling a package.
Buy clothes at the end of the season, pretty much everything will be on sale.
I color my own hair, I am not paying 100.00 for what I can do for 8.00.
Actually, hmm, forget this, I'ma going find me a rich man, and get spoiled!

Sweetstuff. You are missing the point about logic. It is not knowledge or information or understanding, it is only a mechanism - nothing more.
If a scientist tomorrow found a fossil that totally disproved the accepted theory of evolution, and altered its basis dramatically, would not the logic used to investigate further discoveries also change?
No. If such a discovery were made then logic would indeed disprove the accepted theory of evolution. Logic is your friend. If aliens were to land in Milton Keynes then logic would force us to accept the evidence of our eyes and conclude that we are not alone in the Universe.
No one can prove . . . . . . something without absolute undeniable facts.
So you'd accept that having those absolute and undeniable facts would allow us to prove something? For example, it is absolutely undeniable that a 1st century virgin could not have become pregnant without human sperm. This therefore proves that Jesus, if he was Mary's son, also had a human father.
Are you willing to accept this logical conclusion to your own argument sweetstuff?
So, let me get this straight... logic is only a mechanism and is based on niether knowledge or understanding. Matter of fact, it requires niether....then logic is a mechanism individual to the person using it, if it requires no knowledge, no information then on what do you base your own conclusion that Mary got pregnant and therefore must have had human sperm do the job? Is it not the knowledge that human conception requires male sperm?? OH, so you are saying if you did not know that, you could still use the "mechanism" of logic to conclude your point? My bad.
What I am willing to accept as a logical conclusion is that while I do not see how it would be possible for a child to be concieved without the use of human sperm, that conclusion is based on the assumption that God isn't real and has no supernatural abilities. Therefore, its a theory, not undeniable fact.
