...A Doggie Day in Hell...

ever have one of those days..when you go outside,and part of your dogs throat has been ripped out?...

that was the begining of my day... i have no idea what attacked him..whatever it was,was f*cking vicious!

!..there was a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his neck.....and a severed artery......also a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his leg.....and..another severed artery.....there was blood everywhere... the nearest vet is 1 1/2 hours away..i phoned in and told the doctor to be ready for me... i tied the dogs wounds up with tee-shirts to try to minimilize the bleeding..then put a 100 lb bleeding dog,in the back of the truck..........poor dog tried to stand up in the truck..his neck started to gush with blood..i got him to lie down..the bleeding slowed.....i jumped in the truck and drove..that was one long hour and a half... the doctor came out..looked at the dog,ran back in and brought out a stretcher..it took three of us to bring him in so he would`nt move around..that dog has spunk!..lol!!.

Pets and Drinking Water

my pet will not drink water from the tap.

absolutely refuses.

will look at the bowl of water and back at me, then back to water, then look at me again as if to try to communicate something.

I cant believe the toilet has not come up yet?!?!?.........my cat will only drink from the toilet!.....fortunately we have one that is never used except by him....we have great well water but he will not drink out of a bowl (unless it has a flush handle on it)..........he still walks on water btw..........oompa

Total Strangers...would you believe and do whatever they tell you?

that is what i did the first 45 years of my life.

because i was born in...fourth generation...i really did not have much of a choice since i tried to be a good son....my doubts started at 19, but i had been bad enough in high school that i became a pioneer for a year and a half as a form of penance to my parents....soon thereafter, wife and kids and job became a big distraction....and life just happened as it does to must born in dubs........ now that i am out i realize that all of what i was and did and spewed at doors....was actually accepted by me from total strangers!!

so you are walking down the street and a guy says...."you must go to XYZ and you must say 123...and you can ask no questions about me as to why you must do this...and never express you own real opinions if they differ from anything i ever tell you"......

well at LEAST YOU GET TO TALK TO THAT GUY AND MEET HIM!!!!!.....geeze so few dubs ever even meet the GB...much less really get to know them....yet...you do what they tell you in print and in talks not even given by them....and funny...but you dont even know if "they" even wrote the stuff...or even thought of the stuff...............talk about faith.....it is faith in TOTAL STRANGERS!!!!.....now THAT is strange ...............oompa

curious if this matters to any fence sitters out there.....hope so

as a jw, if you were one, did you truly believe that god would answer the prayer of a "worldly" individual only if he were praying: "dear god, i'm desperate!

I forget the official answer verse from the bible....but praying in jesus name or to god is not the qualifier.....if you ask anything but "doubt"...he will not hear it if i recall.....what a catch22....i always doubted and wanted to get over the doubts so would pray to have them go away, but of course was doubting at the time so knew it would never be heard....mindfluck!....oompa

ya found it.......james 1:6,7....one of my faves....doubt and you will receive NOTHING!!!

What good was Field Service?

it seems like a massive waste of time.. how many people would successfully convert to the witnesses from field circus?

it was pretty much a waste of time in spanish language the last several years, and yet english language bros would join the spanish congos because they thought it was so much more productive!.

How Did It Feel To Post Here For The First Time?

very freeing and i was a bit explosive with my tirade of issues.....just ignored the actual subject and went off on a tangent.....then i reposted it as one of my first new threads here......i was Coaster then....very dark times since my wife had just outed me to the elders for being here and it was only for two weeks!....and one week later i was at my first apostafest set up by Unique1......i was a mover...at least in my brain..........oompa

man was this place a lifesaver during my wakeup...

God caused homosexuality to exist...it was his will?

i remembered this after reading the thread in adult about homosexual sex.

my brother is gay and we are close, but only since i woke up, and it has been really nice making up for the lost 25 years.

so i told my elder/day a few months ago.......while talking about my new friendship with my brother.......that god is the one who "made" homosexuals....of course he said "no, it was the result of adams sin"......

you sound very authoratative with that statment.......but why couldn't he have?.......if you believe the bible record, it would be extremely unlikely adam could have altered his dna in this manner........imo........oompa
