  Your thoughtful opinion is requested, please, on a possible proposal to free my wife from JWs

  six years 'jw free', my wife is still in, although she's now nowhere neary as zealous as i was when in.

  for this i'm grateful.. please take a moment to review my current situation as far as my wife's involvement is concerned with our 4, adult male children:.

  my wife regularly contacts my dfd son, invites him and his wife to visit us, along with their 4 year old son, and thinks absolutely nothing of it!

  ya...she must be out mentally.....or she would just go back and be hardcore... and prob never listen to you again and shun the hell out of everyone she is "told to"......

  however i have had a similar thought about my jw wife and the few rules she breaks, esp the not shunning my son, she likes r-rated movies...but i will not mention them because then should would probably change her tune......

  also had the same thought about some of my dub friends.......i did a thread about it some time ago that says "they are just like us"....in that there are sooo many things they do not believe either, they just dont talk about it....and i like to point out these when i can...i enjoyed telling one she better keep her thoughts to herself or she could be DFd as an apostate if she kept stating her true opinion......they are not allowed.......oompa

  funny how so many believe things they THINK are taught or not taught and often they are way off base....they do not even know they are apostates!!

  funny how i really miss my friends....i grew up with them......now i have new friends.....just a few.......but i miss my old friends........i sooo hate how if you happen to change you mind on something....have your own opinion....... you are so kicked to the curb........oompa.

  Off to a JW "Gathering"

  i have not been to a meeting this year.

  yet i was invited to a witness "gathering" through my wife and kids.. i really don't want to go.. however, if my reason for not going is because of someones religion, i am really no different than they are.. guess i need to go based on principal.. i won't change my mind, but am interested in your take on this situation.. .

  inspired by another thread.. i was baptized at 12 years old.

  i had a cousin, two years older than me, who was prettier, more outgoing and more popular in the hall than i was.

  i couldn't beat her at any of that stuff, but i figured i could be a better jw than she was.

  Michael Vick convicted "Dog fight" organiser allowed by the NFL to play football again...you guys suck!

  responsible for organised dogfights and the death and torture of a huge number of dogs, michael vick can now play football again thanks to the nfl.

  what kind of "sports superstar" example is this for our kids...the nfl have no morals and suck!

  i hope he gets booed off the field...scumbag!.

  i really don't have much of a story to tell about myself.

  just find myself at a crossroads of sorts and wondering if i should stay or move on, although the greater part is telling me to move on.. long story short, i have been a baptised jw for 14 years.
