Whats your thoughts on sex & the WTS

hopefully this topic won't shock anyone, i'll try to keep my comments as tasteful as possible.

just recently (last weekend) my younger brother met with the elders because he was engaged in fornication.

the elders decided to disfellowship him even though he had long stopped having any contact with the person he had been involved with.

We cannot blame the sex organs God has put within man and woman if they are used to sin. They are so constructed that they remain calm until impulses are received from the mind and heart to excite them.The capacity for response is there in the body. It is dormant until stimulated. Rather than satisfying, the thrill of touching can easily create a desire for closer contact: kissing, toying with private parts of the body and going all the way to committing fornication or adultery. All of this may not develop on one occasion, but desire can build in intensity as one thinks on the pleasure received and looks forward to another occasion to receive it, even scheming and maneuvering to bring about the occasion….The doctor gives you a shot of pain-killer to deaden the nerves when he is about to operate on a particular part of the body. We can deaden our body members with respect to wrong desires and impulses by the way we neutralize and nullify wrong desires in the heart and mind, and by the way we cultivate the right desires, chief of which should be to do the will of God

Meeting's..........the best Medicine!!!

do you remember those truly wonderful occasions when the meeting was in full swing, and something/one would make you laugh uncontrollably............so much so that you had to go out.

(and yes, your were sat on the front row!

you would go out and feel terribly guilty, and when you thought you were under control, you would venture back in only to find that the air was still full of laughter (on your row)..............truly wonderful meetings!!

You're right, the Bible self-proclaimed inspiration does not extricate it from the rest of the phony religious books that have been circulated throughout the ages.

However, I think a distinguished indicia of the bible may be its prophetic nature. No man of his own originality can foretell future events in explicit detail, especially regarding national affairs over which he has no control, centuries after his death. Now if the Bible books such as Daniel and Isaiah were written when some scholars say they were written, this would inevitably be substantial evidence against Bible critics, since they'd be unable to repudiate the accuracy of its fulfillment.
