brought up in the truth, i spent 20+ years of my life having trauma after trauma in it.
so nice to have a responce from people that isn't " go to all the meetings and you will feel fine!"

i am not a jw or ever will be but my partner was some years ago and quite devout about the religeon then she was df'd for commiting adultry with another man (not me) who was not a jw, she got divored from her jw husband and left behind her 2 boys and went to live with 'the other man', anyway over the years her relationship with her 2 boys began to grow again and now she see's them once every 2 weeks, i should perhaps point out that her ex is a devout jw, she has told me that she would like to at some point go back to the 'hall' and carry on her religeon, i said that i dont have a problem with that but, i wasn't keen on the idea of her walking the streets knocking on doors due to the amount of hatred that some poeple clearly have for jw's and the fact that we now seem to live in a violent world, yes i know that jw's have to do so much 'service work', she has told me that she has not visited a hall since her df so therefore has not repented her sins as it were but on sunday she said that there was an assembly in our local vicinity (it's the annual one) and she would like to go.
i found this a bit odd that someone who had been df'd would be allowed to go to the jw's event of the year so began to wonder if whilst visiting her sons she maybe did visit the hall to somehow show repent with a view to be allowed back into the faith.
They normally ask for a record card and a letter of recomendation from your previous congregation.

note the bias is there on here, you see for yourself that your wifes ex and children don't shun because the relationship ties allow personal choice on contact in or outside the family home. So you see exageration for your benefit which you got to see isn't true from first hand experience.
You believe in freewill? well your wife is choosing the religion of her own freewill? Do you respect that choice? if it is just to see more of her kids you may not see her becoming a Jw again. the path to reinstatement is about repentence of your previous wrongdoings and restablishing your commitment to Jehovah and his son and the words of the bible.

My sister in law is completely shunned by her siblings, when they come to the house she has to go and stay in her bedroom until they leave. No bias just plain cold facts I've see with my own eyes.
Not all witnesses behave like this, that is true. But it is encouraged. The more zealous die hard witnesses usually enforce rules to the letter of the law.
As I said earlier, go to the Kingdom Hall where she was disfellowshipped from with her one Sunday and you will see shunning up close and personal.

i have known these two teenage girls for six years now and in that time they have wiped buggars on my furniture and walls, pooped their pants and continued to deny they had done it and refused to clean up and change their clothes.
they also routinely get poo and menstrual blood on the toilet seat and don't clean it up until i make them.
Well you could just ignore it and leave the excrement and blood on the toilet for their father to see first hand.

One thing I will say is don't try to overtly confront her desire to be a JW again. This will probably backfire on you.

Sorry to hear that, could you tlak to their father about it and come up with a united front on how to proceed?

I don't know about her ex jw husband, you probably don't have anything to worry about. But you are right about being 2nd fiddle if she goes back.
I was a witness for 20 years, my wife was a witness all her life and all of her family are witnesses. So i know first hand how things operate, no demonising just telling it the way it is.
Why don't you go to the hall with her and check out all the nice happy, loving, caring people down there as they completely ignore your wife.

Yes they are allowed , they are public meetings so anyone can come. Only difference for her is that she will be shunned if anyone recognises her.
