  There is mounting evidence to suggest that humanity has gone through nuclear warfare AT LEAST ONCE, if not more than that! All that green, fused glass that has been found, entire villages underground in India coated in a fine radioactive powder...underwater cities being discovered left right & center lately ... makes one wonder, doesn't it?

  Any sources for this evidence, SYN? It sounds like something from Graham Hancock or Alan Alford or one of their ilk.

  What would happen if the WTS admits to coverup

  i was just thinking and wondering,what do you think would happen if the wts admitted to child molestation in the organization?how do you think they would spin it off,do you think they would try to find some other "biblical" explanation?with all the instances of the wts getting involved with "the world",such as investing in questionable companies,the u.n. scandal and so on do you think there would be that much outcry from the members around the world?i'm interested in everyone's thoughts on this,i personally feel that the more coverage the wts gets on child molestation the less they will be able to deny it and eventually they will have to admit to something.give me your thoughts and opinions on the subject.

  They'd compare it to something in the Bible where someone faithful was admonished, was punished and repented (David and Bathsheba for example). They'd be the David Class, and all the sick child molesters they've been protecting would be the Bathsheba class, and the innocent victims would be the Uriah Class.

  recently some hassidic jew who stands and rocks like a catatonic shizoprhenic at the wailing wall in jerusalem noticed some water stains up near the top of the wall.

  immeadiately he summised this to be some holy sign of the messiah.

  but the deputy director of public works says that it most likely is a ruptured pipe or drain.

  i have just received back the email i sent to cnbc ages ago (before the us showing), and they have just informed me that it will air this weekend (6th july), at last!

  here is my email and their reply:

  The Watchtower has also said that apostates try to get JWs to join their religion. It's another example of them making two opposite predictions and then crowing when one or the other appears to come true. (The most obvious example of this cheap trick is their view of world events, war and crime: the end is near; peace and security: the end is near.)

  If there is a god, he can survive any attack by people here. If a belief is true, it cannot be proven false. JWs only have something to worry about if their religion isn't true, or if they're not intelligent or knowledgeable enough to distinguish truth from lies.

  According to the teletext on CNBC (page 184), it's the second of the two episodes that deals with JWs. It starts at 12.45am in the UK & Ireland and 1.45am in most of Europe.

  That's a meaningless statement. We exist so logically, we must have either always existed or we began to exist. That tells us nothing about how or why we exist.

  The fact of evolution means that if we were created by a god, he did it in the slowest, most tortuous and inhuman way possible. Or he's pretending he did. There's no need for a god to explain how we got here, and in fact, postulating a god, explains nothing. It just gives us more to explain. Remember Occam's Razor: "Do not multiply entities unnecessarily".

  you know how it goes, someone doesn't want to give offense or get "offside" with readers, colleagues etc so they try and agree with two conflicting arguments simultaneously.

  the watchtower wouldn't do that, would it?

  OldHippie, in any sport played with almost anybody, if you cheat you will be called on it. Handling the ball in soccer is cheating. It ruins the game for eveyone else. You behaved like a spoilt child.
