I was appalled to find that Amazon also stocks Mein Kampf, a book by Adolf Hitler - the most evil man who ever lived. It also stocks The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx, another very evil man with an evil philosophy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater by Thomas de Quincy, a book that glorifies the use of hard drugs, and most shocking of all, The 120 days of Sodom by none other than the Marquis de Sade, a shockingly amoral tale of unbelievable debauchery by another very bad man.
Boycotting them clearly won't be enough. Maybe we should storm their headquarters with flaming torches.

I would be more likely to boycott Amazon if they stopped selling the book than if they continued to sell it. If you don't want the book, don't buy it. If you don't want to shop at Amazon because they're selling a book that may contain opinions you find offensive, then that's your right - the whole freedom of choice thing again - but you're unlikely to find a bookshop that conforms exactly to your personal standards.
Anyway, what is it about the book that's so offensive that it should never be read by anybody?

So, at some time in the future, no more people will have a chance for a life. That is not fair.
Not fair to whom? People who don't exist? Are you saying that everyone who could ever exist has a right to life? Maybe you should form a group championing the rights of the nonexistent!

FDR knew in advance about Pearl Harbor...the myth of 6 million...The bastards in the good ol' US of A have been injecting our youth for years with "germs." ...How much more proof is needed to understand the govenment is behind that dirty $$$$$$ deal. ... the Federal Reserve is owned by private bankers that keep humanity enslaved for their personal agenda of world control. ... New World Order ... War is just the means by which the same families keep getting richer and more powerful because they finance both sides.
Linda,
Where did you get all this information? Who do you believe is behind these massive conspiracies? Jews, Masons, reptilian overlords or some other group?

I agree with Jehovah's Witnesses when they say that all other religions are false.
I disagree with them when they say that there is something different about their religion.

I'm not a JW, but i've got some questions.
by iamtaylormh ini'm not a jehovahs witness...i dont know what i am.
when i was younger and my parents were divorced, i celibrated different religions with each family, attending many differnet churches, from methodist, to catholic, to christian and so on.
as a result, i was unable to seperate the beliefs of each religion and not really understand what i believed in and where i belonged.

(1) Bible: Jehovahs Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.
Well, that's not entirely true. The standard for their beliefs is the current Watchtower interpretation of what the Bible says. For example, their belief that Jesus returned invisibly in 1914 is completely unsupported by the Bible, but is a cornerstone of their belief system. They have swung back and forth between various beliefs, claiming the Bible as their source each time even when the beliefs are diametrically opposed. (e.g. will the men of Sodom and Gomorrah be resurrrected?; who are the superior authorities Paul spoke of in Romans?)
(2) God: They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes toward mankind. Anyone who publicly witnesses about Jehovah is usually identified as belonging to the one groupJehovahs Witnesses.
Now, that's not really true at all. Publicly witnessing about Jehovah is not enough to be considered one of Jehovah's Witnesses. It requires association with the Watchtower Society, and complete compliance with their teachings.
The "loving purpose" spoken of here is the impending destruction of more than 99.9% of the world's population.(3) Jesus Christ: They believe, not that Jesus Christ is part of a Trinity, but that, as the Bible says, he is the Son of God, the first of Gods creations; that he had a prehuman existence and that his life was transferred from heaven to the womb of a virgin, Mary; that his perfect human life laid down in sacrifice makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith; that Christ is actively ruling as King, with God-given authority over all the earth since 1914.
Some of that is arguable from the bible. The 1914 teaching is not. It relies on the most bizarre interpretations of prophecy, plucking scriptures out of context, and most damning of all, demonstrably false chronology.
(4) Gods Kingdom: They believe that Gods Kingdom is the only hope for mankind; that it is a real government; that it will soon destroy the present wicked system of things, including all human governments, and that it will produce a new system in which righteousness will prevail.
Yeah, real soon now! They've been saying that for over 120 years.
(5) Heavenly life: They believe that 144,000 spirit-anointed Christians will share with Christ in his heavenly Kingdom, ruling as kings with him. They do not believe that heaven is the reward for everyone who is good.
This is a most bizarre belief, that the number 144,000 - representing symbolic members of 12 symbolic tribes of symbolic Israel, - symbolic virgins - symbolically standing on symbolic Mount Zion before the symbolic Lamb with symbolic names symbolically written on their symbolic foreheads, symbolically singing a symbolic song and symbolically listening to symbolic harps - mentioned in Revelation 14 is a literal number.
I can't even be bothered doing the rest of them. They're just too dull.
