i said my problem with the bible was if it contains life for people.....then all those without the word and christ are doomed.
A consenting adult can still be used. One's attitude towards sex affects how they look at human beings as a whole. If I view my wife as an instrument of my pleasure only, even if she consents, this affects how I relate to ALL women.
OK, so you have an unhealthy view of women. That's not a sin. Nobody's rights are violated.

If someone says that murder is good, then for them it is, yet it's sin and affects the rest of the world.
OK, murder is a sin because it violates the rights of another person, i.e. the right to life of the victim.
if Dale decides he has a right to the money held in a bank, it's ok, and good, not evil.
Yes. In this case, the property rights of the bank are violated if Dale takes the money by force or fraud.
The same with drugs, using the opposite (or same) gender for sex (as opposed to making love).In these cases, nobody's rights are violated (assuming only informed consenting adults are involved). Where's the sin?

recently i was watching a documentary on this woman who claimed that she could heal people with the power of her mind.
the documentary went into interviewing people about their experiences, and many of them actually had medical signs of improvement that could be documented and shown.
while watching this, i was seeing it as a example of psychic energy healing someone?

I think everyone has the right to put faith in what they want, and everyone has the right to say the faith is wrong. It does not change the fact that people believe, like me. It just shows that not everything is right for everyone.
I find this kind of attitude very worrying. Effectively you're saying "it doesn't matter whether it's true or not. I'm still going to believe it" or "it's true for me, that's all that matters." Does it matter if you believe that a con man like John Edwards has psychic powers, and give him your hard-earned money? Does it matter if you believe that blood transfusions are prohibited by God, and your child dies from lack of blood? Does it matter if you believe that you'll live in eternal bliss if you die while killing Americans, and you crash a 'plane into a skyscraper?

What Jesus did go through was the rejection of his ministry by most of his family, the betrayal of his life by one of his closest friends, the abandonment in his time of crisis by the rest of his friends. Hunger, pain, sickness, the death of his earthly father, the death of close friends, a cruel and infamous death alone, doesn't sound like a walk in the park to me, bud.
Not to you maybe, but to a spirit being who had never known suffering, pain or mortality, slumming it for a while would probably be fun. A lot like rich kids who go backpacking for a year in India. They may live in poverty for a while, and even get a bad case of "Delhi belly" but they know daddy's credit card is there to bail them out. It's hardly a sacrifice. Nor was Jesus' brief foray into the world of humanity. 30 years of perfect health, three years of fame and infamy, one hectic week during which he partied for a while, got arrested, and "died" for a day and a half. Big deal! And I bet he bored the angels half to death with his stories when he got back!

It's easy to forget sometimes that JWs don't have a monopoly on religious bigotry. The kind of insane diatribe above, often spouted by extremist Muslims is far worse than anything the Watchtower has spawned. We've all seen the results of such widespread hatred, most notably on September 11 last year and with the constant wave of suicide bombers in Israel. Unfortunately, the kind of ignorance and hatred that leads to such atrocities is encouraged and promoted by Muslim leaders and by a strict interpretation of the Koran. We should all try to be aware that such unspeakable evil really exists, that people are capable of such unnatural hatred and that blind devotion to primitive religions is probably the biggest threat faced by the civilised world today.
