Favorite Stones song???
by bluesbreaker59 inok, because flipper brought up the beatles, i have to bring up the "anti- beatles".
i always preferred the rougher, raw edge of the stones, and the more guitar driven sound with a swaggering, swinging beat.. i'll go with tumbling dice, keith here was at the peak of his addictions and still came up with one of the coolest riffs.
anything from the micktaylor era is fabulous in my opinion, but sticky fingers and exile on main street are my favorite albums..

You can't blame The Truth anymore.
by wanderlustguy insomeone related a story to me a couple of months ago over the last few days it sunk in.
there was a time it was so easy for me to get mad and angry and virtually meditate on how the organization systematically stripped me and so many of my loved ones of their lifethe life that could have been.
real love was replaced with a recipe of what love is, putting god first and then defining what the perception of god was supposed to be, to include a group of men directed by a corporation that decides who we can or cannot speak to, as well as who we can or cannot love in the common sense of the word.

Step away from these monsters. They are so evil they cannot possibly comprehend what they are doing to familys.
Every single person deserves to be free to do as they choose without the risk of loss of family.
Spike Lee said it best.
DO THE RIGHT THING.!!

Anyone have the Google Sidebar installed? What's your thoughts?
by NotaNess injust recently started using it.
my favorite gadget is the picture slide show of family photos that's continually changing images.
i like the news options, "to do" list you can make and check off, weather conditions locally.. the tv set gadget sucks (only 2 channels and i can't figure out how to add more).

I refuse all toolbars because they track all usage and slow computers down. I help ppl with slow computers and have found computers with many, MANY toolbars fighting for dominance and what a freaking mess.
I doubt this toolbar is clean-could even be counting your keystrokes. Just beware.

What did you not like about the paradise?
by reneeisorym ini have always loved it when the seasons changes.
i was always told that we would have temerate weather all of the time and the seasons wouldn't chage.
i always thought i would miss the changing leaves, budding flowers after it has been so cold, and the snow.

There would still be do-nuts right? Since Mexico is full of Catholics, I suppose there would be no more khalua or Corona to sip on a warm beach. And I guess there would be no more funny animated cartoons with fat fathers too? Oh God take me now!!

I was a young child when this show appeared on television and it scared the crap out of me. The theme is haunting to sci fi lovers.

Homesick for the City by the Bay
by mrsjones5 init was bad enough watching monk (with quite a bit shot in oakland which doesn't help either) and mythbusters (they always show the sf skyline in the background) but the new shows on tv aren't helping, journeyman and now women's murder club coming up next, all set in san francisco.
i'm flying out to california on the 24th and hopefully i'll be able to visit the bay area, i'll be staying near sacramento.
can't wait.. josie.

Just came back from a trip in August. Went to the coast and it's wonderful looking at all the interesting plants and trees there. Plus it's never too hot. We usually stay at the Best Western at the civic center. Just have to walk past the ne'er do wells on the way to the MUNI. Love the "F" line to the Embarcadero. Sound familiar?

Zanex Moving!!!
by zanex inwell folks...its been a good run in california and all but its time for me to depart...so in like 2 and a half weeks round the 25 th i will be packing my shite in the car and me and my buddy (who quit his job in nm, drove all the way out to cali to get me and is moving with me) adn we are drivin cross country from one coast (cali) to the other...(nyc) im still kind of in shock bout this whole thing but for some strange odd reason it feels right.... im gonna stop in nm briefly to see my traumatized mother, she is still reeling from my fathers untimely demise (course so am i), will be there a day or two before getting back in the car to nyc...my company has transferred me to the manhattan office to work so least i have a job.
will be staying with one of my buddys friends for a day or so...i have a thot that the company mite just put me up in a hotel for a while til i get settled...so its nyc for me!
i have a somewhat optimistic outlook stemming from the recent contact with my mother...almost weekly...granted the contact has been strained and it gets very emotional for both of us..her asking me questions that i dont want to answer adn the first time i do she sinks into depression...its been challenging...im still in and out of tears on somewhat of a regular basis...not takin any brain candy tho...now its just my name on this board...(as a reminder more than anything else i suppose) .

My son's brainwashing ?

Isn't being a smart JW an oxymoron. I mean if they are truly a believer, then why build up wealth if the end is near. Because they know it's a bunch of b.s. The poor saps that are genuinely poor are the ones that deserve this new world. The rich are hipocrytes, the poor suffer and they don't even realize it. Being comfortable isn't a crime, but being broke is discouraging.

do you have someone you can truly rely on???
by chelsea inis there someone in your life who you know will be there when you really need them without a shadow of a doubt???
as much as i hope my girlfriends or whoever else will care about me and be there when i really need them, no one consistently has been, except for him, time and time again.
there are many very good reasons why i'm not with him anymore... but the fact that he cares more than anyone else is fairly persuasive... i don't want to go back to him, but what does one do when everyone else is too busy to care???
