I have cried more from reading certain books than films. I remember the first time I read Wuthering Heights because when I got to the part where Cathy died I burst out crying and couldn't stop for ages (I wasabout 12 years old).
I cried when I saw the film Ghost and felt really stupid!!!!!!

well things did not turn out the way i was hoping it would have so far.
my wife has not come home as of yet and has no plans to.
I am very sorry that your wife is acting in this way. It is an awful situation for you but I am glad that you have your sons as that must be a source of comfort.
I hope that your wife will wake up and return home for you and your sons' sake.

i recently saw my jw brother and sil and listened to them talk about poor sister sick(o) who has been diagnosed with major mental problems.
she went to the doctor's and the doctor supposedly began to berate her out of the blue because she is a jehovah's witness.
now the family wants to have the doctor formally rebuked for his so called "discriminatory comments".
It's all a great big lie and they really hurt people.

my biological family has been shunning me ever since i daed back in 1998.. my mom opened by saying that she's been thinking about me lately and then we chatted a bit to catch up on news.
i told her about my toilet training my two cats, my recent nose surgery, my running and how things are going well at work.
she told me about how my dad had a medical issue come up in july and how it was treated.. normally my biological family will only contact me when someone dies.
Elesewhere - I am really pleased you heard from your mum and hope it is a turning point in your relationship with her.

now here is a little different subject we haven't discussed much.
i read a book a while back about dreams called, gestalt therapy verbatim , by frederick perls, a well known psychologist .
his take on dreams, without getting too deep, was we dream about unfinished situations in our lives which are troubling us still .
When I was very young I used to sleep walk sometimes. I was always talking in my sleep and got embarrassed after being told so I started putting tape over my mouth when I went to bed so that I couldn't say anything. More recently my husband woke me up during the night because I was out of bed, round his side trying to find something. He spoke to me and it half woke me up because I told him to be quiet and got back into bed. I don't know what I was trying to find though!

this is a real subject here , so i welcome your responses , advice , and any experiences you can add that might help others and myself .
most of us have family that are jw's , whether we are faded or dfed, or dissassociated .
I don't think you are the only one that is shunned even though you are not df'd. Some JW's think it is the right thing to do because of the "bad association" thing. It is totally unscriptural but seems to be practised any way.
I pray that your daughters have a change of heart as we all hope for with our loved ones.

i haven't been on jwd for the last few days as my good friend had her mum die suddenly and i have been spending time just being there for my friend.. i was shocked and saddened to hear that trevor and linda was a sham.
it's sometimes hard not to become cynical with life and not trust anyone when this sort of thing happens.. i have made a big decision and i hope that i don't live to regret it.
i have posted that i have been trying to "fade" as my son and his family are jw's and i don't want to lose them because of being shunned.
JEFF - I am going to arrange to meet my son so I can speak to him without anyone else being around. I will explain my reasons to him and tell him how much I love him.
TERE - It is a difficult choice to have to make but as you say, it gives freedom from the WT and all their mind control.

VELTA - I appreciate your post and I am sure now that I will never find any religious organisation has the complete truth. I think it has to be a personal relationship and as you say Jesus said that he is the "Truth". I think I have learnt a few important lessons from my experiences with the JW's and hopefully will benefit from them in the future. I try hard not to become bitter about life as it only causes unhappiness and is so destructive. Thank you for sharing your own experiences with me, it is very kind of you.

TO ALL POSTER FRIENDS
Your replies are so helpful and reassuring to me. I can't see another way for me to be able to go forward with my life. I really hope that my dear son will start questioning for himself the reasons why I am doing this. He knows how much he and my little grand-daughter mean to me and that I wouldn't do this unless I had very strong convictions that the WT wasn't the "truth".
