  ok, i read this on another thread that the new belief is that the when the bible says:.

  galatians 5:22on the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,23mildness, self-control.

  My reply:

  There is only one baptism. You are baptised in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which is baptism in the Holy Spirit. This is done in water, usually out of a bowl or dish, and sometimes in full immersion.

  When people speak of baptism by fire, it means that someone proved loyalty to God and died for that faith before being able to receive the sacrament of baptism. It is also called a 'red baptism' In such a case, it is assumed that God will consider them faithful without being baptized.

  God is above all of us and is not bound by any rules as interpreted by us and our religions. He is the only one who can read our hearts and intentions. These different ways of proving loyalty are for men, not for our Heavenly Father. That being said, I have been baptized in the way Jesus told us in the bible, not into the "spirit directed organization."

  I am glad that, in the end, God will read the hearts of my family who have been deceived by this cult and see how sincere they are in their love for Him.

  I have been to an Orthodox mass as part of a course I took in college. They were very friendly and talked to me for an hour after about our shared and then seperate histories. Very interesting and enjoyable.

  I have to admit, I will buy anything from little kids, IF they ask me themselves(no sheets left in the breakroom by mommy) and IF I can do it for $15 or less.

  I tell everyone else that if I want their product I will call them, and ask them politely to leave while shutting the door.

  I had a Schwan's man put his foot in the door once. I looked down at it, looked back up and asked him how he thought the police would view a man trying to forcibly gain access to the home of a young single woman. He turned white, then left. Haha.

  Seeing old watchtower aquantances

  i havent posted here for quite a while,since jwd changed websites in fact, but had to relate this.. a few days ago i bumped into some of my local congregation members i havent saw for quite a while.and said hello to the guy i knew and chatted with him while his wife was in the local store.first thing i noticed was the attitude that i had gotten away from and in fact was one of the reasons why i decided to leave.he told me that the org was moving forward and guiding them better than ever and said that it would be better if i didnt come back because i wouldnt beable to keep up with the progress of the org.although he said he didnt want me to go down with the world.his arrogance was just wrong.i told him the bible says that every man will be found a liar and he said it depends how you interpret it.his wife came out the shop and was much more pleasant and then another member i hadnt saw for a while came over to them [ i think they had been out on a boasting session] and i said hello.however she said hi but practically ignored me.the whole experience was just so sureall that i couldnt help but think that it encourages people not to listen to them and left quite angry.baring in mind i live next door to an elder and see him often.some seem to look down on you when you stop going and others just dont bother talking to you as i they are above everyone else.. jacethespace.

  haha! To 'catch up' with the org, all you have to do is wait for 10 years until the org goes back to last years teachings.

  as jws, we were in bondage to the organization, its rules and its whims.

  now, we do not have to follow their direction and believe that whatever we were being told was by "theocratic" arrangement.. so, what freedoms do you have now that you have been liberated?.

  Going to college.

  Not worrying about how long my skirt is.

  Enjoying the sun on my legs, instead of being tied up in nylons.

  Going to the evening services when I don't want to get up for the morning one. Or skipping a week or two without being badgered.

  Making friends with anyone I wish. Going to coffee or lunch on a whim with new aquaintances, not worrying about the appearance of inappropriateness. Basing friendships on chemistry instead of rules and service records.

  Having a party to celebrate anything good that happens, including becoming one day older, America's B-Day, my Steelers kicking the Cardinals butt.

  I know there are some repeats, but these were important to me.
