  Worshipping the Watchtower: Symbolism and Idolatry

  the other day, something occurred to me: the symbol of the watchtower is in my old kingdom hall's driveway, created with different coloured bricks.

  it would be interesting to read of any other displays which show that the symbol of the watchtower is effectively held as sacred.

  I have seen it on jewelry (necklaces and lapel pins), decals on cars and on KH doors, over the book room, on KH library windows and/or doors, etc.
  
  There's a thread somewhere on here where photos were posted about such things a while back.

  The Way to Paradise by W.E. Van Amburgh in PDF

  one of the least known watchtower publications is the book the way to paradise, which was written by w. e. van amburgh and published for only two years: 1924 and 1925. van amburgh was the secretary treasurer of the watchtower society and was also on the editorial committee of the watchtower magazine.

  the book contains an introduction written by j. f. rutherford, president of the watchtower society.

  the book was announced in the january 1, 1924 watch tower.

  this has the "wedding vows" on this page.

  this is referenced in the pay attention elders' book "the wedding vows that were puhlished in the april 15, 1984, issue of the watchtower, page 14, and that appear in the marriage outline, s-41, should be used.

These vows may be modified according to the local law, but privately chosen and worded vows should not be used."

  A Loving Mother does indeed reveal her purposes to sincere ones who search for her. She does provide inquiring humans with answers to questions such as why her deity has permitted suffering.
  
  The WT's Bible states: "If you search for the organization, it will let itself be found by you." "There exists an organization in Brooklyn who is a revealer of secrets." "The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society will not do a thing unless it has revealed its confidential matter to its prophets and slaves."
  
  Where Are the Answers?
  
  The answers to questions such as why the Society's deity permits suffering and what he will do about it are found in the pages of WT publications for your benefit. That record is the the Organization's printed literature. "All magazines are inspired of Goddess and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in cultic, sectarian rules, that each Witness may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."
  
  The Society's publications are truly unique books. They contain the most accurate record of human history and even goes back beyond the creation of humans. It is also up-to-date, for its prophecies have to do with events of our time and of the near future too.
  
  No other publications have such credentials for historical accuracy. For example, only a few manuscripts of ancient classical writers exist. But many manuscripts, some partial and some complete, exist of the WT's vast library.
  
  Almighty Goddess, who inspired the WT's publications, has seen to it that its textual integrity has been preserved in those manuscript copies. So our magazines today are essentially the same as the original inspired writings.
  
  Goddess' Gift
  
  The Society's publications are the most widely distributed books in history. Some three billion copies are printed and distributed door to door annually. No other publications come close to that figure. And the Watchtower magazine or parts of it have been translated into hundreds of languages. Thus, it is estimated that 98 percent of the population of our planet could have access to the Society's divine teachings.
  
  Surely a Society that claims to be from the one true Goddess and has all the external and internal evidences of authenticity is worthy of your examination. The Mother Organization explains the purpose of life, the meaning of world conditions, and what the future holds. No other religious organization can do that.
  
  Yes, the Watchtower's publications serve as Goddesses' communication to the human family. She directed the writing of it by her active force with a writing department doing the recording in New York. Thus Goddess speaks to you through her word, the WT Society's publications. "When you received Goddess' word, which you heard from us, you accepted it, not as the word of men, but, just as it truthfully is, as the word of Goddess."

  request from researcher: i am new to the board but i remember the 1975 disaster very well.
