Are there any contracts signed between the WTS and its members?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini don't remember if i signed any papers stating that i would be a member of the jehovah's witnesses when i was baptized 30 years ago.
do elders,ministerial servants,pioneers,or bethel workers ever sign a contract stating what position they will hold?
if no contracts are ever signed,how can the wts enforce disfellowshipping of any of its members?

Well, years ago if you wrote articles and submitted them to the Society for review and possible publishing in the mags or books - I'm specifically referring to the "F&DS" that send articles from abroad or from within the U.S. You had to sign a letter stating that you agreed that the article or whatever you were submitting would remain the property of the WTB&TS and you would never claim ownership or authorship of the submitted article/book.
I also know that if you're translating the Bible into any language and you wish to use the NWT in your reference notes, you must sign a letter stating you agree not to base your translation on the NWT or to mention that the WTB&TS endorses your personal translation.
At least that's how it was when I was in the org pre-1984. -

Found this article in Zion's Watchtower (Jan. 1911) concerning this booklet:
JEWISH HOPES AND PROSPECTS
We have in the English a pamphlet which gives certain extracts from STUDIES IN THE SCRIPTURES, Vol. III., and the Jerusalem sermon, 10c. each; in quantities, 60c. per dozen.
For those Jews who read Yiddish we have secured a large edition of the newspaper, Die Stimme, which contains Jerusalem news and reports of several of Brother Russell's sermons to the Jews.
This paper is very acceptable amongst the Jews. It does not point them to Jesus of Nazareth, but does point to the Messiah of Glory. It gives assurances that the time of the establishment of his Kingdom is near, and that then the Jews will be blessed. It points them to the land of Palestine as the place where the national blessings will begin. It does not say so, but all WATCH TOWER readers well know that according to prophecy it will be then and there that Israel's blindness will be turned away and they will recognize him whom they pierced.
It is not our expectation that the Jews will be converted to Christianity. Theirs is the chief of earthly blessings. If some few of them have the hearing ear for the spiritual message, they will hear it, but they will be the exceptional few.
We can supply these Die Stimme papers in any quantity-- free. Any of our readers who would like to have some for free circulation amongst the Jews should advise us immediately, as we are about to order a new edition. -

It's nice to have those in many different places but credit should always be given when it's known. I know how long and drawn out the process it is to sit for days and sometimes weeks just scanning in one single book for the benefit of others.

Uncaring Attitude of the Society
by donny ini just read the account of a an elderly lady who passed out in a distict convention in canada today (06/20/08).
it seems that as some of the attendees were trying to help by doing cpr, the "brother" on the platform a few feet away speaking did not even pause.
when his talk ended a few minutes later and the lady was still being tended too, the platform folks just announced the next speaker as if nothing was happening.
