anyway, i don't remember exactly what i had, but i'll do my best to re create .

Dogma is the opposite of true.

Dogma is dogma no matter what it's wearing, It's the same poison that everybody gets to see when you what the news read a paper talk to nieghbors.

Most people just let the world condition the mind for them and then are amazed at how much crap takes place in the world , all the suffering in this world is due to a conditioned mind

We learn what to think , what to believe as truth , how to act , what we are , it's all conditioning, and very little of it usefull or productive. No one acts out of free will , we either seek pleasure in some form or a reduction of suffering

Freeing oneself from this conditioning , from this stagnent mind set is the only use of free will that we have, it is the manner in which we learn to become human , and not just a conditioned being ,owned by the world

I agree with aleman all those hosebags and maniacs inside churches and kingdom halls should have a thourough thrashing for the way

they sodomize The Holy Word with pagan rituals and soul stealing practices not to mention the human sacrifice dedicated to making money

pushing all those people to buy liturature and give it away , or donate money to the work of a divine diety that is always short on cash or needs so much help speading the "truth"

The truth is self evident , only people with out the truth feel the need to push beliefs on others.

hi, i've been lurking on here for a few days but i have a burning question that needs to be answered so i'm outing myself... .

i'm a non-jw (non-christian, in fact) and i've been in a relationship with a jw for the last five years.

we're both pretty young (early 20s) and he still lives at home with his devoutly jw family.

You will find a lot of bias here as in Jw hating , but the facts are the facts. JWs are members of a cult . Period.

I was never a member , just had a near brush with them Being familiar with the Bible isn't a prerequisite for common sense, TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS.

Dogma sold as the truth , powerful and refined methods of indoctrination, do not give up what you hold and replace it with this spirit stealing group of people who seek only to > make you one of them<

They will not respect your individuality or your personal beliefs. They will do all in they can to convince you of the righteousness of the system of beliefs they use , it's exclusivity, it's perfection and it's divine source.

It's a very thinly veiled publishing company wrapped with a religious covering

If you wish to be a part of an organization that wishes to dictate every aspect of your life (who you see, where you go , what you watch on TV, what you wear ,what you spend your money on , how you spend your time , what is proper to think say and do ) then by all means join them

It you enjoy personal freedoms and loving other people do not get involved with them

If you wish to find a spiritual path I would recomend a system of beliefs that is more than 160 years old

They are not a good organization with which to be affiliated

A person in the religion activily will have tremendous issues with honesty and expression of intent

Do not expect much in the way of happiness no matter what you see if they are ingaged in the CULT that is JWs

The only thing different about JWs is the fact that they are FORCED to do what a publishing company dictates , any self motivated and intelligent human being eventually finds that they have been duped, and massive therapy is needed to repair the damage.

Don't be fooled by apperances deep feelings of misgiving inhabit each human being in the JWs . only people that are willing to give themselves up to the control of others is comfortable in this enviroment.

Don't be confused, get informed about this marketing cult that you have found .

Ask Questions here and they will be answered.

People are people so any family will be different than another

My guess is they are probably biding thier time so they can draw you into the cult with them .

i have a question about my religion.

when people turn apostate, why do they seem kinda... weird.

they turn back to false teachings and their bible knowledge even proves that.

Refuting ignorance is a waste of time.

A stubborn fool with a "belief of the truth " can in no way be swayed by logic or reason as these are the domains of "satan and his minions"

A wise man will investigate the truth of any matter and form an opinion based on all points of and all data available., this factual methodoligy is also apparently the domain of before mentioned "tempter"

A true believer will have to admit we are gifted with reason in order to advance truth , not a MANS understanding of truth , but the WAY to the truth each must find.

The ultimate truth can not be conceptualized or possessed in any manner niether can it be given to another individual , it's location can only be described as ,an intent

The intent does not include bias, intolerance , hatred, exclusivism, isolationism, neccessary belief in any doctrin or practice of any particular methodoligy or technique, it isn't inclusive of any selfish desire

It does however contain therein LOVE in abundance , and all the aspects of love like compassion , understanding , knowledge ,nurture . tolerance , etc. etc.

So with that in mind, perhaps self inquiry as to what your purpose in opposing a point of view is ,may in order

Was the WTS correct?

based on current events, do you think the wts could be at least partially correct on their prediction about organized religion being banned by many governments or even some future un mandate?

what about the western governments (us, britain, france, germany etc)?

think it could or even may happen?

I think a really good definition of religion is needed , one that would allow everyone that thinks a relgion is more than a social group was exposed to , one that would explain how our sense of spirituality has nothing to do with the outside of a person ,

one that would explain how the end of religion would mean that all people would be free of the many delusions that blind most to the state of thier conditioned existence

But as long as someone gets a charge out of selling the "truth" this definition will most likley be viewed as heresy or apostacy or some other nonsense

So a long as there is a selfish desire in individuals, religion will flourish

Terry I agree with much of what the gist of this post comunicates.

We must not allow ourselves to live a conditioned existence , a conditioned existence lives your life for you

Whatever means one uses to become awake to thier own conditioning ( self inquiry , religion , therapy , meditation , whatever) it is just a fact that an unexamined life is not worth living

Self awareness , Self realization , Finding God , born Again , I'm a Buhdda alot of people have called this simple and profound thing a lot of different names.

Freedom from the conditioning that the world performs on us and the delusions that we impose on our selves is lifes greatest treasure, it makes life new again and each day offers another chance to grow and learn more from everthing you experience rather than that humdrum feeling of same old same old

Do Witnesses REALLY Care About Other People?

i don't think so.. to me, the vast majority of jws become witnesses because they desire everlasting life.

they want to live in paradise.

they love feeling special.

Being able to love , and to be loved allows us to no longer care about the percieved shortcomings of other human beings

We all have constructs in ourself that curtail selflessness or altruism, to believe that a person who lives through a fear induced belief is capable of feeling a true uncrippled or selfless love is just allowing room for a self loving superior type of thing to move in to oneself

not really condusive to healing those bad feelings , it just allows us to purpatrate the hate

Understanding ones own motives for seeking comfort in a system of beliefs is far more satisfying and will give the answer about whether or not JWs really care about others.

this comment made during that meeting just got under my skin, so i decided to start a thread to show the dictionarys definition of both of the words.
