Buenbenidos akira, estoy aprenduendo espaniol para dos anos . Using an unfamiliar language is very difficult you do quite well. As for looking to serve God be kind and seek YOUR truth< Dont worry so much about finding a new faith > I am quite certain you are the kind of person who really is serving God if there is one to serve. Consider your enlightenment a gift and celebrate your freedom .As obi wan kenobi said "you have taken your first step to a greater reality" Glad to see you here

Is belief in God just the ultimate in CYA?
by nvrgnbk inpascal's wager.
blaise pascal offers a pragmatic reason for believing in god: even under the assumption that gods existence is unlikely, the potential benefits of believing are so vast as to make betting on theism rational.
critics in turn have raised a number of now-classic challenges.

I have yet to find compelling reason to believe in the God handed out by organized religion. I have my own take on things and do believe there is a common source for all things in our percievable reality.I am incapable of defining what that source is due to our limited existence ,but just our inherent intelligence is sufficient to indicate to even the most obstinate individuals that all of reality came from some event or occurance at some point >That common source is what I believe to be God > I believe this not in hope of a payoff or out of fear but because it is a belief demanded by logic and reason. The only other option is to believe that things are as they are and will continue to be as they are forever and ever.Matter would just simply be sucked in by black holes and spewed out by white fountains (these fountains are a fairly recent discovery by astronomers) thus providing the necessary energy to fuel the continuing eternal universe and all life is just merely a side affect of matter. This is also something that I sometimes believe but it seems a bit of a stretch if sentience is a consideration , of what real use is the ability to ponder the nature of reality? I think the fact that we wonder about this is pointing to fact that maybe there is more to life than meets the eye.

Cloth Diapers
by reneeisorym inso .. my husband and i are going to start trying for kids next year.
we had a long discussion last night about disposable diapers vs. cloth diapers.
i know this decision can wait but i just like talking about my expectations early rather than end up with conflict later on.. i want to use cloth diapers and he thinks disposables are the way to go.

Use biodegradable disposables only way to go as you will use THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of them

I have had a thought. This thought is that maybe wbts is really an agent for evil. I know maybe not the most original thought . The way they cast doubt on your established belief that you have spent alot of effort to get and then attempt to replace it with thier own , the hard sell of an absolute reallity , only frauds, fools and lunitics deal in an absolute reality , that kind of stuff does more to ruin faith in a God than encourge it> Coersion with fear and the impalpable reward of something after our existence is like the carrot on the stick the horse never gets after working so hard all day. I'm dissapointed in organized religion as a whole and now I can get no peace. I have nothing but questions about thr true nature of reality and nothing I read hear or discuss satifies any of them> Is anyone else bothered by this desire to find an answer ?Its like a constant buzzing of a fly in my head that never goes away and borders on obsession.

God and your own thoughts
by serotonin_wraith ini hate to be left alone with my own thoughts.
i don't mind silence if i'm reading, but my mind always has to be focused on something.
so at home i always have the tv or music on in the background.

My mind used to be fragmented and noisy but time has hushed the voices and now they all speak with one voice (kind of creepy sounding) but I Believe in one source for all energy so I dont know if that qualifies as God > My own mind used to frighten me with its thoughts but now I know they are just thoughts and not really ME > I spend my solitude comtenplating reallity and enjoy it immensly!

I believe conciousness has a common source life energy has a common source without purpose ALL things would cease Inanimate material as well as animate material have a purpose in the very composition of their atoms that define what form they have be it as a stone tree or animal, that purpose of being, that unknown instruction to be something comes from a common source I believe that to be God the source of all things is God .
Weather or not God is aware of us is questionable but there is indeed a source from which all of creation springs that is my God
