LB funny you should mention thanksgiving.I remember being invited over to an elders house for a turkey dinner on thanksgiving with a bunch of other witneses.I was a little perplexed but when I got there I had a great time.They resoned why they did it by saying turkeys are cheep this time of year and we all have the day off so lets have some turkey.Birthdays are another "lets keep it secret" thing that witnesses celabrate.The two biggest sins that alot of jws do and not tell is sex and gambler.You would be surprised at how many jws you can find in casinos.

What're the new spins going to be?
by ashitaka ini was talking with my wife and surmised that in ten years, there would be 'revision' in thought about blood, and that they would allow transfusions, (a conscience matter), but still forbid the eating of blood.. as to disfellowshipping, when it all hits the fan in the media, there may be a change, some time in the future regarding it.
perhaps they will say to only 'spiritually' disfellowship the person, but not encourage the total shunning of them.. do those two hold any merit?
what other things may change at the wtbts?

All Around My Hat.
by Englishman ina guy came in our pub tonight wearing a back to front baseball hat.
after 10 minutes or so he was getting very miffed that no-one wanted to talk to him.
i explained to him that he was offending everyone by wearing a hat indoors, surely, especially as he is a police officer, he was aware that it is extremely bad manners to wear a hat indoors?.

My god you are dense.I am not argueing that you are not a witness to jah or that the org thinks that they have been represented since mans creation.What we are argueing Is the unjust veiw that the WTS has on armagedon and that you do not share the same opinion as the WTS.Yes of coarse JW dose not actualy mean WTS.But when we say JW we mean WTS and of corse you know that.That arguement is irrelavent and you doing it just for arguments sake or you are very stupid.

i'd long appreciated the artwork and finally got arround to reading the book a few months ago.

I also think that the music in a movie is responceble for much if not most of the emotion and "soul" of a movie.In my opinion a great or bad soundtrack can make or break a movie.The public often overlooks this fact but ask any director and they will agree.Would star wars have been as popular if it had a modern track instead of the beutiful clasical music john willaims made for it.I heard that if you broke star wars apeal into a pie chart one third of it would have been the music.I think the music placement in movies has gotten better over time with exceptions like star wars,jaws and planet of the apes(the original).

Seeker I agree with you that within the last couple of years hollywood has been after the teens.We can all thank titanic for that.And the quality of adult movies will suffer because of that.As far as your point about the early 70s being the golden age of movies I think we are all biased on the period of time we grew up in.Sorry if Im asuming your age.I will argue to the death that the 80s had the best cartoons, why because I grew up with them and are very nostalgic.Mabey thats why I dont care for the ealier movies,but I love 70s music, go figure.I am probably being to hard on older movies,I have not seen alot so mabey you guys could recomed some for me to watch.
