Sisters no allowed in KH period!

i just found out during the elders school sisters are not allowed in the kh for any reason.

i have a girlfriend that i became really close to when i was at bethel.

we really were as close as real sisters, in fact i am still closer to her then my own flesh and blood jw sister but with my leaving the jw's it has been hard, she does not have a clue about my true feelings of this cult, i have tried to throw points out to her and she will not get them, she will not let her mind go there.. .

I think it's all about staging. In any cult, there are a series of traditions and customs that hold the members in. The JW cult has used the mystique of secrecy and surprise to enhance it's holiness.

Because the Bible promotes a patriarchal society they use the mystique of secrecy to enhance their position to God. The women are taught to think that there is spiritual knowledge that they are not able to handle (being the weaker vessel and all)

When the elder's school happens it creates an opportunity to enhance the illusion of the man/secrecy thing. It's a sacred duty of the "sisters" to pay homage and honor to this man/secrecy thing.

Sorry just rambling, the seaturkeys are losing to the KC big wigs and I'm half watching the game and half thinking about this post.

Oh forgot, throw a little good wine into the mix and two of my favorite people around me.

please advise i was brought up as a witness and know the faith of jehovah very well i choose not to follow my dad as a witness as i didnt like the way he taught me the truth hence i know its true.. we are having a party at our house for chikdren ans a mum at the school has been invited she told me shes devestated as she has a ghost and its touching the kids on the landing................. i t freaked me out oviously its saturn the devil or his spirits, i came home said a prayer to jehovah as i do quite often to protect us etc.

if she arrives at my hpome can the spirts come here, please advise as i dont want to put my family inthis situation , she has told me a priest has taken it away... i dont believe it............ my dad is a elder of the congregation hence we dont speak, he always taught me stay well away and youll be ok, so even though its gone from herehouae id love your thoughst so i can maybe cancell her calling, i certainly wouldnt keep any gift from her in my home... many thanks suzanne dickenson.. .

Oompa update

i live in nc near oompa, and he has become a good friend with my wife and i over the last few years.. so as an update, my wife visited oompa today!

he's recovering, but has a long recovery to go.

7 the one source of spiritual instruction first-century christians enjoyed unity because they all received encouragement from the same source.

they recognized that jesus was teaching and directing the congregation through a governing body, composed of the apostles and older men in jerusalem.

Kids (well, people 30 or 35 & under) don't take "the truth" as seriously as the GB would like. They view the congregation as a social club, a place to meet & hang out twice a week. Enduring the mind-numbing meetings for 2 hours is the "cover charge".

This is so true, also true is that many go to these meetings out of habit they don't really listen and remember most of what they hear but they go and they go and they think they are pleasing God by going.

The GB must know that today's rank and file are not as devoted as those 30 years ago. They need the rank and file to be devoted to whatever the GB says and that's just not happening as much anymore.

The bORG is fizzling out. Without the totally devoted rank and file, the cash won't be there. They won't be able to keep the propaganda going.

I hope it dies in my lifetime.

evidently the 'boys' haven't gotten all their ducks in a row before printing the book!.

they have issued another boe ltr (will have late sunday or early monday) regarding wedding procedure and scriptural freedom to remarry!.

the ltr is dated oct 12, 2010 (so if anybody has a copy already post it or send it to me and i will post it).

yes, that's right, they really do not like people being able to read that book so they wanted links to it removed (it appears they have also been going after the hosts of the content itself as well).. unfortunately, i had to removed the links (which were dead anyway when i checked) and i'd ask that people don't re-post them (sorry).

i'm sure there are lots of alternative ways for those with the information to get it to those who need it.. here are the discussions on the book:.

Does the WTBTS really think they are going to keep this information a secret from the public? In this day and age they should know that's impossible. Or are they just plain stupid?

Maybe they should petition Jah to blind the eyes of those who are unworthy to look at the "Shepherd the Flock of God" book or better yet they could pray that God makes all those who look at the book and who are not elders to immediately fall over dead.

Or if Jah didn't want to kill people or blind them then he could just shut down the internet.

Any of you Watchtower men who are spying on this site, start praying now because that's about the only chance in hell you're going to have of keeping this information secret. Are all of you total idiots do you not realize that the internet is more powerful then you and jahoover?

I did not say gluttony only applies to fat people as you may have read in my post I said that size would be a good indicator of gluttony. I also mentioned in my post that some people who are overweight may have "glandular problems" or may be "big boned".

I am sure there are thin gluttons but I'm also sure that most gluttons are overweight for the simple reason that they eat too much and they eat the wrong foods.

What happened to the principle of our body being a temple and taking care of the life and body we were given by God a major responsibility on our part?

The Shepherd the flock of God book says and I quote "A glutton routinely shows a lack of restraint" I'm assuming the society was refering to a lack of restraint when it comes to over-eating. So if I am right, and that's what it refers to then I would assume that one who over eats get's fat.

I am also assuming that because you were so quick to try and defend, over eating fat people as not being gluttons, that you may have a few more pounds on you then you should have to be considered healthy.
