The Jehovah's Witness Definition of the Word "Soon"
by God_Delusion inhowdy guys and gals!.
forget the word "generation", the watchtower society has completely spun another word - "soon".. how many times did you (do you) hear jehovah's witnesses tell each other "the end is coming soon"?.
i talk about this word spin in our latest article - the jehovah's witness definition of "soon" - http://www.jehovahswitnessblog.com/jehovahs-witness-beliefs/jehovahs-witness-definition-of-soon/.

Marijuana
by MrFreeze indoes anybody know the jw reasoning why using mind-altering depression and schizophrenia medication are okay but marijuana is not?
okay i could see saying not to use marijuana because it is currently illegal in the us but what if it were legal?
there are lots of health benefits for marijuana.

Even something like alcohol and weed, two of the safest psychiatric drugs, can create problems with your brain and your liver.
Do you have some documented studies that point to liver damage through the use of marijuana?
If so, could you reference them so I can read them?

So ... what happens when we die?
by sacolton inwhat do you personally believe happens after we die?
i don't believe we really know everything about god or the afterlife.
i do believe that we do transform to something beyond our physical comprehension.

What the hell was I thinking?! Stupid me!!
by freshstart inso my husband and i have a son who will be 2 years old next month and i really wanted him to be socialized more.
ever since we stopped going to meetings, we have been pretty much shunned even though there has never been an "official" reason for it (df, da..).
i am terribly introverted, so it's difficult for me to get out there and talk to people but our son is a people-person and i wanted him to have more peers to be around.

Everything on this planet is made from dirt, the elements of the earth. When we die, I suspect we return back to those elements and those elements go on to become something else, usually some type of vegetation.
This is the only thing I'm factually sure happens to us when we "bite the dust"

There is an amazing music program for children from infant to 5 years old. We brought our granddaughter there for 3 years. It was designed by child psycologists to enhance an or wake up their inherent music skills. They get them involved with the other children in the class and also the parents or grandparents. check it out, here is the link

I worked on a few. They were extremely inefficient operations. So many working on them don't know what they're doing so what would take one person 1 hour to do it took 3 people 3 hours to do. And they all talk too much when they should be working somebody comes by to visit them and they stop what they're doing and talk for a half hour.
Nice to have you back LW I missed you

There only doin it for one reason, everlasting life on a paradise. That's the only reason I stayed around as long as I did. Once you take that hope away from them they have no reason to do all the work.
