  Studying To Save Lives Again!

  i have served as a jw since 1986, im now nearly 30 yrs old.

  i pioneered, i served at bethel then i read the bible............. oh !

  You are blessed to have discovered that the TRUTH really isn't the truth at 30 years old. Take advantage of your situation get fully involved in your medical studies and stay inactive and miss meetings on a regular basis you can use the excuse of school studies to do and to little time to do it. Be kind and loving to your family and be evasive to the elders you don't need to tell them or your family more then they need to know about how you really feel about the WT org or as many call it the (BORG). Remember there is real life after the watchtower system enjoy it.

  How Many People Did You Help Come Into The "Truth"?

  my major claim to fame was that i studied with a family that i found from house to house and all 6 got baptized.

  within a year's time, the mom and daughter got baptized and then within the next year and a half all the others followed suit.

  2 of the kids became bethelites and the other daughter became an elder's wife.

  Sex dream dilemma

  been married 16 years.

  never have or would cheat on my wife.. problem is... .

  even when i have a 'dream' about cheating i wake up before i can pull the trigger.. i'm even loyal in my dreams dammit!!!

  That reminds me of when I was an elder, I had a young brother come to me one time because his (the borg's) conscience was bothering him because he had a wet dream. I told him not to worry about it and just enjoy the dreams.

  Was the WTS correct?

  based on current events, do you think the wts could be at least partially correct on their prediction about organized religion being banned by many governments or even some future un mandate?

  what about the western governments (us, britain, france, germany etc)?

  think it could or even may happen?

  i have a question about my religion.

  when people turn apostate, why do they seem kinda... weird.

  they turn back to false teachings and their bible knowledge even proves that.

  Okay Nimzo:

  here is my answer I assume you are a JW in good standing.

  The next meeting you go to ask tell the elders in your hall that you have joined this (apostate) website and you are wondering why apostates seem to be wierd. Also, tell them that you have talked to apostates about the trinity and why do they react as they do.

  You should also write a letter to the watchtower society service dept telling them your name and congregation and explainging that you have joined an (apostate) website and you would like them to answer these questions for you. I'm sure that they will take care of you.

  Plus you could also mention these things to your CO next time you see him.

  just looking for some advice

  i just want to start off by saying that i am not a jehovah's witness...about six months ago i started dating a really great guy, and about 2 months into our relationship he shared with me that he was disfellowshipped for a relationship he was in (he was living with his girlfriend).

  this is so difficult for him because his family lives in the area, and being segregated from them is very hard for him.

  recently, he has been considering an attempt to be reinstated (i'm sorry if i am not using the correct terminology...most of what i know about the religion i have learned online).

  Wow it sounds like you really love this man. The best thing you could do for him is make him aware of the hypocracy of the Watchtower Society. Order the Book Crisis of Consience by Raymond Franz. You can order it from Amazon.com

  Start reading it and show it to your boyfriend if he is not too brainwashed by the Watchtower he may be able to open his eyes to the brainwashing the WT does to people.

  Do everything in your power to try and keep him from getting reinstated.

  Update: Last Nights Meeting

  first of all i would like to think everyone for the support i recieved yesterday.

  i would also like to shed some light on my past, hopefully this does not give it away as to who i might be.

  my wife and i were both raised as jw, we were both baptized when were fifteen years old.

  WOW That is so moving I really hope your wife will listen to you at some point and that she will allow her eyes to be opened. One of the things that helped my wife was the that she finally started reading the book CoC she said after reading the first paragraph the scales dropped from her eyes and she could see that the truth was not really the truth. We were in it for 28 years and I too was on many JCs that I regret having to be on I was also on a number of appeal commitees which are basically kangaroo courts. I think all of us that were elders in this org and who thought we were doing the right thing are very sorry for putting others through the misery they had to experience.
