That is an excellent point, if I do speak to any borg members I will use the term "people who used to be Jehovah's Witnesses" this I'm sure will dignify all concerned.

Can we all be a bit more pro-active in this one area? PLEASE READ...
by jambon1 inthis is something that i feel really passionate about.
i hate being labeled an apostate by jw's.
i don't like the term and even they themselves have the definition wrong according to the bible.

Did your friends resent you for not sticking to the program?
by truthseeker ini thought it was worth a separate post, see my last post on being shunned at the hall.. did you know anyone who resented your freedom from the watchtower bible study & control program?.
you know, the freedom to turn up at will or leave after the public talk.
the freedom to not go out on service.. .

I think one of the things that happens at least from the viewpoint of the elder body is that when you stop going to meetings and out in service it becomes a bad mark on the congregation and when the Circus Overseer comes through and looks at the attendence figures and service report cards he see's inactive publishers and want's to know what the elders are doing to reactivate those not going out. So it gives the elders more work to do and they resent that because they are already overwelmed. Also others who go to all the meetings think that is the totally right thing to do and when they see someone fading it upsets them that they are not going along with the program.

Dear Ray:
Thank you so much for giving my wife and I our live's back. We were trapped in the WT org. for 30 years not knowing a way out and not knowing we needed to get out. We weren't happy but pretended we should be. We were always searching and in our late 20's got trapped because of our naivete we allowed others to tell us "this was the right way" wow what a mistake. We raised child in this cult and now our child is still stuck in the trap. An unusual opprotunity allowed us to openly fade. We are doing it this way because of our son.
So now we are back on our search for spiritual things. We know that the WT org is not the end of the rainbow and realize that the end of the rainbow is in a infinite location and so the search will always go on. We are not looking for some advantage like everlasting life or blessing because of what we do we are just doing things now that bring us true happiness in life.
Starting this Monday we will go on another search. We signed up for the internet course given by Oprah Winfrey and Eckhart Tolle using his new book "A New Earth" we don't know where that will take us but we do know it will not be the end of the search only another road with sceneary to see and adventures to experience. We know we can never find all the answers, we just want to enjoy the trip. \
So Ray, you helped us take that first step out of the land of OZ and now we are back on the highway of discovery. We are loving it, We are guilt free and feeling like we did pre-borg. Every turn is an adventure, and every view is miraculous. Giving has become a joy again and joys are all around us.
Ray, thank you for helping us to get our live's back. Thank you for helping to re-open our minds to all the possibilites. Thank you for your courage.
Love to you and your wife from my wife and I

Field circus a one way street job
by White Dove inwhen going in fs, i always felt like it was a one way street or conversation because i was there to argue and defend the contents of the wt and a!
but none of us were allowed to consider as a possibility the other person's arguments.
our job was to turn their minds around but the people on the other side made more sense than i did.

After reading these posts, it got me thinking that the borg doesn't want anyone to carry on long conversations with people that want to talk about their beliefs because it could make to much sense to the R&F member listening and could raise questions of doubt in the mind of that member perhaps getting them to go online to research more extensively.

Heard any good pick up lines lately?
by Bumble Bee ini heard one recently from a paramedic.
he said he uses the line "take off all your clothes, lay down on the stretcher and do everything the nice paramedic tells you".
i lauged so hard when he said it.

Ok first let me say, I'm married and would not use this line.
So now that the legal stuff is done. Here's the line.
You approach a woman and say, "I heard a radion talk show host say that pretty women don't know anything about politics. I think he's wrong. Do you know who the Secretary of Defense is? If they don't it proves there a pretty woman and if they do you just tell them that the talk show host was full of it because pretty women do know about politics. This start's a conversation either about politics or about pretty woman.
Again, all ideas and concept of this pickup process are strictly theory none of these ideas have ever been used on anyone at anytime or in anyway.
why don't one of you singles try it out and let me know how it works

WT Comments (2/25 RESPONDING) FEATURING AK-JEFF

Wow, you tackled a thought study. There was so little in this article to critique because there was so little. Good job finding the little nuggets of s**t and pulling them out. So far it looks like the "special" study watchtower mag is fairly inocuous. Maybe there setting the R&F up for later beatings by going into it easy at first.

Loving email helps identify true religion
by Shepherd Book inso i sent them this email:.
you might like to see this site: http://www.watchtowerletters.com.
it has a lot of correspondence with the brothers at bethel and gives a lot of great information.. thanks!.

OK so just for fun, I sent an email to [email protected]
This is what I said:
Is this web site sanctioned or approved by the Faithful and Discreet Slave? I thought only their web page was OK for us to look at. Are you sure they don't mind? I have sent them a letter informing them of your site and asking them if it's OK for me to look at it. My elders suggested I do this because they are afraid that you are apostates or trying to take glory away from the Faithful and Discreet Slave.
I have just sent the letter to the society so I haven't received a reply yet so my elders also suggested that I send you an email.
I know that there were a few lies in there but my excuse is "Apostacratic Warfare" (it's ok to lie to decieve the enemy)
So, here is there reply:
Dear Brother, It is good to be cautious as yes, there are so many apostates out there ready to deceive and devour the faith of Jehovah's people. Many hundreds of thousands of brothers--genuine brothers--have nice websites, many of their family and experiences preaching or on vacation, or news of their assignments serving where there is a need, and regular newsletters they send out, etc. and these are not prohibited by Jehovah's organization. It is not prohibited to have a website. But there are parameters to follow, motive in having the site, etc. to consider (i.e. spamming...or trying to preach via website, etc. which is stressed that the intrnet is not the means to get the good news preached, etc.) Our website has been in existence for some ten years and we have had some very nice comments from brothers around the world, even from the brothers at our branch. It is nothing but upbuilding and encouraging & supportive of all the Theocratic arrangements for the faithful and discreet slave! However, it is a personal website (which you can see when you read some of the links), and not meant to replace anything our dear brothers of the faithful and discreet slave class do...any more than the personal websites of genuine bros world over sharing info with their witness friends replace the Society's information. Each one has to follow his own trained conscience on this, and if for some, visiting the links on this website are objectionable, we certainly must respect that, just as we respect the consciences of our brothers in regard to other things in which there is a lot of leeway for each of us to exercise our own personal conscience. We belong to a very loving and kind God, Jehovah as well as his organization which does not dictate to us every decision we must make. We highly respect you for being so very careful...those that are not have experienced shipwreck of their faith and fallen into the hands of apostates! if you do, in the future, visit this site and find anything objectionable, please feel free to email us. The website is a combination of many wonderful experiences of many hundreds of self-sacrificing bros and sisters who are pioneering, or serving in other full time service in other areas where there is a great need. Love from your fellow workers serving shoulder to shoulder with you

by ocsrf injanuary 15, 2008 watchtower, page 23 paragraph 16. it seems, however, that not all who have been called to a heavenly hope since the 1930's are replacements for ones who have fallen away.
jehovah has evidently made sure that we will have anointed christians amoung us all through the final days of this system of things until the destruction of "babylon the great.

So, what ever happened to the nephinem, those supposedly appointed to help the ever ageing governing body?
Does anyone hear of them being talked about anymore?
