for years the millions of jehovah's witnesses worldwide have been fed stories of "brave witnesses" who "fought to stay true to their convictions" by refusing blood transfusion.

The blood policy was the reason I was able to escape the Wathtower's talons. When the new policy came out in 2000 I became troubled each year I filled out my blood card. When I was confronted by the body of elder's of which I was one, I told them I believed that anything to do with blood should be a conscience matter. They did not like my attitude and told me I was running ahead of Jehvoah. At the time they asked me if I would take a blood transfusion, I wish I had told them it was none of their f*ckin business. But I told them that If it meant losing my entire family through disfellowshipping that I would rather die anyway.

I remember thinking at the time, "they're stuck, they can't change the policy to all things involving blood transfusions being a conscience matter, they would be sued by so many and would lose so many". I agree that this is still the case. I'm sure the GB is praying for a synthetic blood that will do the trick, (science and technology will have to save their ass) and when that happens and it wil, they will take the credit for it because they will say because of them the medical community came up with synthetic blood. So in the meantime, they surely want their rank and file to take any fraction they can. However they've done such a good job of using propaganda that many of the un-educated and ignorant rank and file will continue to die needlessly for refusing any kind of blood product.

Even the fact they have made fractions a conscience matter is brilliant on their part because they then put the onus of the decision on the person and take the responsibility of the situation off of them.

This all took place for me in 2007, at the time I had to meet with all of the other elders and the CO when I asked all of them, "where do all of these blood fractions come from" they all stared at me and now one answered, I had to repeat the question several time before one spoke up and said, "the blood supply"

My point was if blood is so damned sacred why would they allow it to be handeled, seperated into parts and givin out to people.

They're scoundrals all of them.

It sounds like the Watchtower Society feels all that is needed in a case like this is a good talking to (a spiritual pill) and a smack on the ass (removal as a MS) child abusers have a problem that needs to be addressed more strongly then this. The man needed help and all they gave him were a few scriptures and a slap on the hand. So sad for the children's lives affected by this nut job.

This was my 'Sign'

in my previous post i mentioned that i'm staying in the org because i think i got a sign from god...some of you asked a lot of questions about my sign and even shared the society's view on asking for signs which i didn't know.. i didn't disclose exactly what the sign was.. some of you asked me what it was and even stated that i know that you all would pick apart and prove that my sign was just a frivolous excuse to hold on to the org.. maybe you were right.. so i've decided to tell you all exactly what it was---no embellishments or exaggerations.

i would love to hear your opinions since i'm still in a terrible mess.sometimes i'm 100% this is not the truth then other times i'm 60%....i feel if god was giving me a sign i'd be 100% this is the truth you know?.

so i woke up that morning and organized to go meeting.

I really think that these very loving people, who are on this great forum and giving you some good advice, are your sign.

Just the fact that you are here on this forum and learning the truth about the "truth" is your way of reaching out to God and asking him for a clearer pathway to his truth, whatever that may be.

Those comments that were made by the MS and the Public Speaker was all (pre-recorded at the Watchtower Headquarters) carefully worded propaganda. And the fact that the talk was changed at the last minute and you walked in on the word "doubts" was in my opinion coincedence.

When one is having a serious issue within themselves and they start looking for signs, they super sensitize their emotional parts of the brain and start becoming aware of anything that points to their issue. In some cases that can be a good thing for example: if one has heavy financial issues and they pray, or for some other reason look for a sign. they will be super sensitized to see things pointing to a way out of their financial problems they may see an add for a budget planning company and getting their help to get out of debt. On the other hand someone may come along with some pyramid scheme and they are immediatly sucked in.

I know it's not the greatest comparison but I hope you get the idea.

The point is, I don't believe God is in some way throwing things out in front of you to get you to stay in the Watchtower Organization. However, if that is what you want to read into a few random things that pointed to the troubles going on in your mind. Then that is what you should do. But be careful because giving control of your life to anyone and you are giving your life over to the WT and not to God (just check the baptism question http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/18087/1/Baptismal-Questions-why-the-change as it now exists).

Your Choice

If you choose the Watchtower, your better stop coming to this forum. They forbid it. If you choose to continue exploring your beliefs and want a wide array of ideas and opinions then use this forum to make discoveries in thought and use every possible tool out there to discover new ideas, new possisbilites to start your search I think there is a Bible scriptue that talks about searching but never finding somthing about gold in there too

she begs him not to take the car as it is the one she uses to take her elderly mom to the doctors.

They didn't have a watchtower and awake magazing on a desk close to the jury so they could see them.

i did not see a thread on the 6-17-12 wt study article, so i thought i'd put this here.. .

this is just a thought on unquoted references that sheds a little "light" on why they are not sourced.. in paragraph 4 of the lesson it says: 'as one reference work states, it is "the sum total of the interior man.

"' it is referring to what the bible means when it speaks of the figurative heart.

I don't know about you but I know I would defininetly have some emotional problems after having my heart removed and a new strangers heart put in.

I don't think it's caused by anything other than our mind telling us, " this is a serious thing"

Which philosophy would you personally value the highest and why?

) and i thought i should make an effort to look at and discuss the rest of the rainbow.

atheism does not define my influencing primary worldview though you'd be hard pressed to see that from my posts.. i'd be interested in what philosphy , idea, rule(s) most influence you and why - why do you feel they are superior, what do they make you value more or less , what would you be without your philosophy.
