  hey guys.

  can anyone point me to good references on whether the bible is accurate or not.

  like a rebuttal of the november 2007 awake?.

  Personally - I'm 99% sure the Bible is a load-o-rubbish. Or maybe just good myths.

  But my wife wants to look into it a bit more. Some quick answers would be helpful. (I know I'm being lazy here - but I AM searching as much as I can).

  Hey guys. Can anyone point me to good references on whether the bible is accurate or not. Like a rebuttal of the November 2007 Awake?

  One thing I found interresting was that Herod the Great had died in 4BC (before Jesus was born).

  Not looking for minutia here. Are there any BIG discrepancies?

  Anyone running the WT Library on Vista?

  I mounted the image in MagicDisc (freeware) in Vista. No problems.

  Crackdown on "sisters" volunteering at DCs

  the wts has sent a letter to all convention overseers expressing their increasing concern at sisters "directing brothers" at district conventions.. with immediate effect (ie for dc 2008), sisters are no longer to be used as volunteers in parking and security / watchman departments.

  any sisters volunteering in other departments (eg toilet cleaning) must be subordinate & follow the direction of appointed brothers.

  this move will put a huge burden on the dcs in my area - nearly half the volunteers for parking are sisters and there aren't enough volunteers as it is.

  Perhaps after re-investigating the old testament they've decided to bring back the temple prostitutes. First step is to get these willing volunteers freed up from other jobs that the guys can handle.

  Ideas to help w/ Still-believing mates

  i've been reading alot of posts about spouses trying to get through to their mates still in dubville - with mixed results.

  it seems to go like this: after some internal questioning the exiting mate shares what they learn with the stilladub mate.

  at first the stilladub mate may be receptive and even share some of their own doubts and unresolved questions.

  I've been reading alot of posts about spouses trying to get through to their mates still in Dubville - with mixed results. It seems to go like this: After some internal questioning the Exiting mate shares what they learn with the StillaDub mate. At first the StillaDub mate may be receptive and even share some of their own doubts and unresolved questions. But once the Stilladub mate realizes the situation may cause seious changes they become closed, exasperated and wished the whole thing went away. Then it becomes hard to talk to them about anything JW related.

  started out like any other normal day..with plans to go to taos with my girlfriend and a good buddy o mine (wlg) sorry mang...had to give u some recognition on this one...anyhow..we went out to a nice place for some breakfast..wandered around taos, went to the taos pueblos to get a chance to watch the native americans dance at the taos pueblo...then we went out to the taos gorge..which for those who dont know is a quite big hole in the ground bout a mile down...the bridge is somewhat a daunting look down for ones who have never seen it before.... anyhow...my girlfriend at first refused to step one foot out onto the bridge but with a little coaxing and a promise to make sure she wouldnt fall off i gradually brought her out to the middle of the bridge where there is a small outcropping where one can stand and look out over the gorge...we stood there staring over the side of the bridge for a few minutes then i slowly took her hand in mine and looked deep into her eyes.... ....and i dropped to one knee....(quite funny too cuz initially she was like what are you doing?

  )....i still had her hand in mine and she was staring down at me like i was doing something silly or humorous like is my usual personality trait...i stared at her for a minute or two and said a few sentances of which are too personal to bring up here and then i asked her to marry me..... she looked at me and said "what?!

  You can mount the ISO with a free program called MagicDisc. Do a full install, then unload MagicDisc.

  Its available thru P2P here - Watchtower Library 2007

  It would be better to share elsewhere if you get it.

  There is a free program call MagicDisc that will let you open the ISO file as a virtual CD drive. Do a full install from there, and then un-load MagicDisc.

  This is being shared on edonkey here: Watchtower Library 2007

  Or look for the other thread where someone will give you a link if you pm them. I think it was fokyc?

  i was told not to even look at them when i studied, but i did not buy the satan stuff about them and said well what have the watchtower got to worry about if they have the truth and no skeletons in the closet ?

  i was quite tempted to speak to them and felt rude and judgemental , what did you used to think about them when you were dubs in the trufff ?
