Thanks for bringing that to our attention. The term, "Immediately" signifies once again, a time frame. They still don't get it in their heads that GOD has NOT given us any dates. Aren't we glad we are out of there? What took us all so long. GRRR!

anyone who is following my threads knows that i post most everything about my .
wife's loyalty to the wts and the fade i am doing.
i don't post much about my mother.. if you did catch it, i told her several months ago that i had stepped aside as an elder.. she had asked if it was a personal problem, then was it a problem with the boe.. i told her that it was a problem with the organization itself.
I have learned to go with my inner feelings, regardless of the consequences. Otherwise you end up regretting it in the long run. Not doing what you feel is right, and doing ONLY what others dictate to you will only result in you continuing to have an inner fight, inner dissatisfaction and it will eat at you forever until you do what YOU feel is right. Listen to your instincts. I've learned they are RIGHT.

It's been years ago, but only the Mormans came to my door. We had a security system in this apt. complex and on their end they said, "We are a couple of elders wanting to talk to you!" So assuming ELDERS from the JW, we let them in. *Duh* After that I concluded, if it were JW's they would have said "BROTHERS" and not Elders. *ugh*
Haven't had any since and that was way back in 1978.

You sound like me at times. Maybe it's a side-effect from being a JW, who limited our spare times in which we could have been pursuing friendships, and other entertainment. I'm a loner as well and at least I am capable of coping with it.

In the theme song from the German version of Sesame Street (years ago, may now still be the case) they sing, "Wer nicht fragt bleibt dumm" Translated it means: "Who doesn't ask, stays dumb." So that being said, in answer to your question, YES...I think we should question any people or organization having authority.

as part of my churchly visits while working on my uncertainty, i took communion at a baptist church.
i was baptized twenty-three years ago so it was all on the up and up, at least in protestant christendom.
it had been years, and it was a very moving experience.
Communion? That reminds me, other churches offer a communion for all to partake who feel a need. Acording to the JW's, communion was limited to the so called "Annointed ones" What a joke. According to the Jesus, "Keep doing this in rememberance of me" He never said, "Hey...you chosen few only, partake!" Other churches offer it every week for those who wanted to partake of it. JW's are so deprived of so much all because they listen to human made laws instead of to God's laws. So sad.

the chinese government not only forces women who become pregnant with a 2nd child to have an abortion, they also make her eat the fetus after the procedure.. .

now-a-days, anything is possible. The media is no help and the freedom of speech a major contributor and psycho's submitting all kinds of garbage on the net makes you wish we lived back when TV consisted of Ozzie & Harriet and Leave it to Beaver.
